My dear warriors!

Yes I heard like that. A SEO spokesperson told me "Today, every types of links effect your ranking, so don't think for do-follow and no-follow just focus on high-quality natural links."

What do you think?

Not only links, but also brand citations! Google is tracking those as well.

By brand citation, I mean when somebody writes a brand name (like Google) but without linking to their homepage.

I am actually kinda curious about this myself. I have heard many people say "links of a variety of different IP's is always good" and "that way it makes it look more natural for Google". However, as far as I know Google disregards those links (i.e. they don't pass any "juice") - I'm not really sure if they still count the links as just being "links". In that case, they aren't bad at all. I'm not sure if they will actually "help" in a sense that you will see a boost in the SERPS rankings. Maybe someone who has actually tested this could eloborate more.
