Recommended SEO companies / consultants?

Have any of you worked with SEO consultants or companies that you would actually recommend (other than yourself )? I've looked over the MOZ recommended list but it's difficult to differentiate between all the marketing agencies without user testimonials and referrals. Thought I'd ping the collective warrior wisdom out there and see if there are any legitimate consultants / companies that have delivered value for you.

If so, it'd be helpful to know what made them a top provider - i.e. excellent content generation, effective backlinking strategy, etc - and, if you don't mind disclosing, what kind of results they were able to achieve for you.

    If you want to promote your website then you should go with those company which contains top ranking itself in Google and also in major search engine e.g Bing,Msn, Aol e.t.c.

    its a tough question, try to find a company with lots of reviews and reference work online. there are many companies to go with.

    I always like to refer Mike Friedman on WF for stuff like this.

    The only problem is, he is too pricey maybe because his strategies are capital intensive.
    I respect him when it comes to SEO.

      Unless he raised prices Mike is relatively cheap. Of course you are probably comparing it to WSO offers but I'm sorry you can't call WSO SEOs consultants. They are basically link builders.
