Hello Everyone
I saw a video tutorial last week about how to build a website that promotes products
The guide consisted of 6 steps ( I can not send it because it is in Hebrew ) :
- Finding a product that interests me at Offervault
( I chose a dog clicker like him)
- Keyword research
( I chose the keywordword labrador training)
- Hosting and domain
- build wordpress blog
- Order Articles base on the keywords
- onsite and offsite promotion
I did all the steps , and I choose the main keyword "labrador training"
the other keywords of the articles are:
labrador dog training
labrador training tips
labrador puppies training
etc ..

I wanted to ask a few questions,

1. How called this model? , it's very common, itn't it?
I would like to find more guide like that because I'm stuck ..

2. I started to explore my competitors on the keywords
And the first results are very big websites
They have hundreds of followers on Facebook and Twitter , thousands of links and hundreds of articles, very long (1000 words and more)
I have to pay for 1000 words articles too? it's too much money to invest
How am I supposed to get the first results and how long it will take me until I start to make money from this site ?

3. I feel that I didn't chose the right main Keyword
He selected in his guide "dog training clicker"
It's okay that I chose "labrador training" to promote "dog clicker" ?

4. On his guide , he built only backlinks to the main page of the blog
I have to build backlinks for any new article I publish ?

Thank you !

Followers in Twitter and Facebook fans/group members have nothing to do with SEO. I didn't find any single case to be worried about them.

Thousands of links? You mean backlinks? If so then first of all check how good their internal linking is? Which keywords they used for internal linking. Backlinks to the webpages with anchor text. How many of these anchor texts are your targeted keywords? How many of these links have good PR and how many of these are dofollow? Without considering these metrics nobody can specifically tell how hard a competition is.

Well you should not depend on others for this kind of work. Today some of we will tell you how good your keyword is and tomorrow you will come back again asking about a new keyword! Again check the metrics mentioned earlier for a keyword to get an idea how difficult it is. Once upon a time I used to see PR of first 5 competitors to get a rough idea on how difficult the keyword is. Nowadays I am not finding this as good as it was. However still this method can be effective specially if you see the top 5 competitors PR is not more than 3.

Target main page and few relevant pages. Lets say the main page is on "Labrador training". There might be 2 more pages on Dog training tools and Labrador dog foods. You might created contextual backlinks from those 2 pages to the Labrador training page. Now you should target all 3 pages to do deep linking.

    Hope that helps.
