Why my Keywords is not ranking well?

Hello SEO experts,

I have a websites which all keywords on first page of serp and they are on 5th and 6th positions and i want to rank up them...

please suggest me what is the most appropriate method to rankup. what sould i have to do now to rank up those keyword as soon as possible?

I am eagerly waited for your answers... help me please.

      according to the situation and my previous experience if your keyword is on number 5 or 6 and you want to rank up then just visit your competitor's backlinks, try to get links on the same sites your competitors have and hopefully you will get results..

        If you have a link on the first page at all the issue is more than likely not a backlink issue.

        You have to look at what the 4 or 5 ahead of you are doing. Do you have the keyword in the URL? the Title? Do you have the Keyword evenly distributed through the article? Do you have a H1 with the keyword? Are you in the 1.8% overall keyword density area? Do you have an image in the page that has the keyword in the filename and alt tag?

        You can look deeper and look for things in the source code... what line is your title tag, where Is theres? What line is your description tag? where is theres? All of these things affect you over all ranking!

        In moderate to lower end keyword terms, those are the things that will get you top listings.

    Have you been optimizing your pages for these keywords already? Honestly ranking in the top 5 or 6 spots is pretty impressive, especially depending on the competitiveness of those keywords. I would continue with what you've been doing, but be patient. Trying to "rank up those keyword as soon as possible" can actually cause Google to red flag your site and cause the opposite impact then what you're looking for.

      But the main reason is that I have my keywords on 5 and 6 position since last tree months.and not getting up.
      so please suggest me the most possible way to rank my keywords as soon as possible.

    Well @DhirendraGupta I think @Dsdomination has got you in the right track keep the good content coming keep it distributing over the social media. You'll get yourself ranked up over the search engine.

    Well, the most appropriate method for you will be write some good article and post it over your blog, and share that same over to the social media. Keep it going on you will start ranking over the search engine eventually.

    Don't screw this up. You're almost there!

    Here are your few options:

    1. Register to high authority sites with profiles. Go to High PR forums, social networking sites and stuff which allow you to have a link to your website on the profiles. I know, these are NOFOLLOW links but they help build up brand so they will help in AVOIDING your rankings to sink down.

    2. Give your site social bookmarks from high PR sites. Digg, Stumbleupon and other related sites will allow you to get social bookmark and they are perfectly safe due to their site authority.

    3. Give it a few social signals (Facebook share, tweet the site, etc.)

    4. If you have SEO tools at your arsenal but are afraid to make things worse, compile your inner pages which have good content and build links to them. Inner pages getting more links = better domain authority = better rankings for homepage (since the inner pages give an inbound DF link to the homepage by default in header/footer).

    5. Find blogs/forums/sites in the SAME niche and having good PR and drive links to your site NATURALLY via comments, posts, signature links and others.

    6. If it's a country-specific site, get local links. Ex: Your site is a com.au then get links from Australian sites (or sites hosted on Australian IPs).

    7. I have laid out CONSERVATIVE options for you. If you want a more BLACKHAT advice then find high PR domains and link to your site, use branded/natural anchors to lessen risks.

    check out your competition on page and off page -
    Onpage -
    do they have higher density or lower density, H1,H2,H3, more content/less content/ more pages at their site then you (maybe its an authority issue)

    Offpage - the quality of the links, the diversity of the anchor text, the site PR, the diversity of th links (meaning that the links are spread across the site and not straight to one page.

    The logic here is to figure out how to win against who better, you gotta know the competition, right guys?

    You my have been too ambitious and selected target words that are just too competitive. Start off with lower competition words and as you acheive success, then start thinking about the more competitive words.

    imrizk is right, you need to take a look at the off page of your competitor.

    I would not change your on page right now.

    If you do not have a subscription to Ahrefs.com, you can use backlinkwatch.com.

    Just plug your competitors URL in and take a look at what type of backlinks they have. In many cases, you will discover new backlinks that you can use.

    For example, when doing this to a competitors site, I discovered a backlink that I wanted. I emailed the site owner, asking them for site inclusion and I was granted access. It was a directory link and it had zero negative effects on my rankings.
