Online App and Thin Content

Hello everybody.

I have a doubt. Google says that a thin content page is not good for ranking

What if the thin content page is a useful online app with a lot of javascript, but very few text?

On my site I have some online apps very appreciated and shared by users, they have "index, follow" tag. Furthermore, each app has a related intro page with text description of the app itself.

Should I keep only the intro pages and deindex ("noindex, nofollow") the app pages?

what do you think about that?

thank you

I have multiple sites with very little text per page, I've been ranking those pages for years (still ranking today).

Some niches/sites don't need much text for traffic, example, file download sites, image galleries, video sites, etc...

There's a big difference between low amounts of text & obvious spammy sites/pages like Google pointed out in the OP link you posted:

(thin affiliate pages, cookie-cutter sites, doorway pages, automatically generated content, or copied content)
