Need Expert Help: Google Is Plaing Game With me

Hello,

I found a good keyword - according to google adwords keyword tool: 33 000 searches per month: the keyword is "garden lawn sprinkler"

I did some seo stuff and now my site is on page one: it's place is always different sometimes #1, next day #3 - but always on page one - Congrats you will say.

But I receive only 4 visitors PER DAY!!!! I don't know what is happening


I don't live in the US so I thought that google might show me results for my country, then I checked with proxy and my site is again #1

    have you tried clicking on the middle of that 33,000 if the lists is complete?

      Are you on page one for the term with or without quotes?

      People generally don't search for terms in quotes so you would need to be ranked for the term on it's own to see any real traffic.

      Also, other things to consider is how enticing is your title and description in the Google listing?

      Even if you're on page #1, if the listing doesn't look relevant enough for the user to click, then you wont get as many visitors.

        I search without quotes of course

        I think title and desc are relevant and it is impossible to have 4 visitors/day

          I had have same problem too. I found a longtail keyword(from wordtracker) with has 200+ serches monthly and 900+ competition(without quote). With a little effort my page was ranked No.1 within 2 days (Checked it with different datacenter include US). It's already 1 month now but the total traffics from such keyword are less than 10!!! funny...Any idea how could this happen?

    But the title of your page is "Installing an Automatic Lawn Sprinkler System"

    If I was searching for "garden lawn sprinkler" I'm probably looking for information on garden lawn sprinklers, not on how to install an automatic sprinkler system.

    And then there is your grammer:
    Don’t buy lawn sprinkler, you can create it by your own!
    If I read that, I'd not even bother clicking.

      could be a seasonal thing to, fall is coming and lawns are not top priority anymore

      Also i searched in the google keyword tool and set it to exact search and your keyword was listed as having 880 monthly search volume average and 6,600 in august

        In most cases... you can see that a certain keyword has a lot of pages in search result but if you examine it... the number of page and the total number of result is not accurate..

          Hi stoqn,

          When I used Google AdWords Keyword Tool it shows an avarage of 880 searches per month for the exact term "garden lawn sprinkler" and nearly all traffic occurs during the Month of July and August. So by the end of August it should have very low search numbers compared to early August.

          I think these numbers show that your results are inline with what one might expect for that term. You may be able to improve some by improved desription and optimize for additional related terms.

          I hope that clears up the mystery for you.

              I had something similar happen to a friend for a site that is only a month old in a very competitive market. He was ranking in the top 5 on 5 different search engines with almost zero SEO effort. The main advantage was the type of site he had (SILO), which seemed to help. On page plays a big importance as well. But still, the traffic wasn't there, though the keyword tools said it should be.

              I think you had to consider the market and the trends that may be impacting actual search volume. Summer is almost over so I'm sure that will have something to do with it.

      Try Google Trends .This is Google trends it gives a graphical representation of search volume over years.

      Unfortunately, your keyword "garden lawn sprinkler" does not have enough search valume to produce a result.
