Where to hire SEO experts? (SERIOUS business needs attention)

Hello,

I've got a website where I've been paying my programmer/seo/adwords manager for literally the last 6 months. He modified the sites entire backend and had to start seo from scratch by changing pages, links, pictures, etc. including the functionality of the site itself. It was a long task and he did a great job with it.

The site itself is www.Sold My device DOT COM

We recently started a blog, if you visit the site, top link- Click on "the Wave"

We've been getting hammered with repeat customers, mostly from adwords but seo is taking a bit time to take off. Should I play the patience and waiting game or should I look into hiring some one dedicated fully to SEOing?

He's based out of India and so I know he has a lot on his plate but he had to work on a lot of crappy links that shitty seo people I hired created from guru.com and elance.com. Google then disallowed us which had to be fixed and was a long process. The guy knows what he's doing but I'm curious if I should look into other methods.

I want to be on top of where gazelle.com and these other sites are. I have what none of these guys have and that's the power of utilizing existing wireless stores to pick up cash from immediately (over 200 stores) in over 50+ cities. This part of the site has already been programmed and is being tested where you can literally type in a zip code and find a store to use instead of waiting to deliver your phone.

Any one out there that can help me and shed some light?

In my mind, you have too many keyword links. Not an over abundance of them, but you should have more brand links to outweigh them. Your trust flow is a bit higher than your citation flow, which is not good. Why you have a higher trust than citation I do not know. Your links have mostly citation and no trust to them. You need more citations.

I would say you need a few, what used to be called high PR backlinks, but as PR has lost its value, I guess authority would be the correct term, but I don't know. Anyway, you need a few I believe.

This information is worth exactly what you paid for it, so... Just my $0.02. If you want to talk, send me a PM.

A lot of the terms your're using don't make sense to me (sorry but newb here). For instance, what do you mean trust flow vs citation flow?

You mentioned the following : " Your links have mostly citation and no trust to them. You need more citations."

I am confused, you said my links have mostly citations but I need more citations? Please clarify. I am willing to pay whatever it costs to find and hire the right team to help me in the right direction.

      Thanks!

In simple words citation flow is the number of incoming links to your site. And trust flow is number of outbound links from your sites. In perfect condition citation flow should be higher.

If you are looking to hire a good SEO person or agency, I would suggest you to post a thread in "Wanted" section of this forum. Or you can simply go through many SEO offering threads here and choose the best one according to your requirement.

@smd786 I have been gone through your site I am just going crazy about this question are you hit by some penalty?? because I can see the graph of links at the decreasing to bottom I think your SEO guys are working on it... I am pretty much sure !! Here have a look at the graph its decreasing : http://postimg.org/image/a3tgezew3/

I would say you better seek report from your SEO about this I think there is something that they are hiding.

Yes we were hit by penalty. He had to work on a lot of things to remove the penalty and after many attempts, google cleared it up. They had to remove 1000's of bad backlinks and what not.

You were penalized during the tenure of the current SEO guy? Or before your current guy arrived?

@yoursite (analyzed for 15 minutes using various tools)

        What I have noticed:

        1. Your inner pages (per phone) are not optimized (on-site including METAs).

        2. Most of the links are only pointing to a couple of pages.

        3. Anchor text diversity needs help.

        4. Quality of links should be higher. Most of the links are way too low in quality (social bookmarks, wiki links, low quality blog comments, etc.)

        5. Way too low number of social signals for my taste.

        6. I believe you need more content for the domain (if you can find a way to have content per inner page and not just pictures then that would help).

        7. A bunch of other stuff.

Always think of how much budget you're willing to spend to mobilize a campaign whether that would be adwords or SEO. It all boils down to "investment".

SEO is not totally a waiting game if you only hire some quality service providers - those who know their stuff and those who can surely bring you good results.

You don't want to compete with Gazelle.com because the site is simply too strong, what you need to do is find a way to earn highly targeted traffic without facing much giant sites in your target keywords. Deal with them if your site is strong enough to compete.

  • One recommendation I can give you is do NOT go for the uber cheap options you are going to find. There are alot of SEO "sweat shops" that offer lots and can end up just destroying your site when google hits you with your penalties.

Have you receive any email on webmaster tool? The last update didn't sent emails to businesses owners but hit hardly their traffic (30-40%). Disavow is what you need to do. To recover takes 1-2 Google updates my friends which is 6-12 months.

I could work for you for around $500 a month, I have a full team. Minimum contracts are 6 months.

The tough thing is the damage from those crappy links, it's crazy how much bad Seo can hurt a site.
