Rich Snippets: Blog-Logo instead of a Author-Logo

Hey all,

i have a simple question to rich snippets. Is it allowed to use Blog-Logo instead of an Author-Logo?

Would Google penalty my blog if i do this?

    I think you should create your company's page on Google + and link it with your website. This way they will show your company's logo in rich snippets. If you are running blog, then IMHO, use your personal photo as Google + avatar because it will build trust among your readers.

    They will not show a logo. They will only show a picture of a person.

    Your wasting your time trying to stuff an image on a G+ profile that's not an author/face.

    If you want an image that's not an author/face forget the G+ profile image & use a self hosted video thumbnail image, that gets you more than double the image size in Google SERPs. Plus you can have unique video thumbnail images per each individual page instead of a static image (G+).
