[ Case Study ] Organic Ranking Strategy Benefits a Travel Website

OVERVIEW

This website is initially created as a container of direct backlink (tier-1) pointing to a different money site. This later evolved as a money site itself, selling travel packages.

The organic ranking strategy rests heavily on PBN posts as tier-1's.

Activities documented and presented here are grouped into three major components. The "Preparation" component covers activities which are important for the implementation of activities of the other components. "Onpage Optimization" are activities done inside or within the money site itself. The last component "Offpage + Branding + Traffic" covers things done outside the money site.

Note that some activities are done because the client wanted them that way.

The case study is about getting natural rankings in Google's first page.

= no significant onpage and offpage activities done from November to December 2013

= Google page 1 rankings first monitored by January 2014

= no significant backlinking done since May 2014, except some bookmarking of PR sites

= at least 17 main keywords in the first page, 4 in #1 position

      I only have a small data-set so I cannot be depended upon to give an opinion about this.

      The page-1 rankings started kicking in this January, and at least 2 keywords stayed in top position from February to June (this month). So it means that this is already on the "longer-term" side of things.
