Direct Rank from Home Page to Landing Page

Hello,

What I'm asking may not be possible, but I thought I would see what people have to say about it.

I started my website providing service x, and optimised for that keyword (now appearing top half of first page of Google). However, we have since expanded to provide more services, and the homepage meta information is not as clearly aligned with service x (that we are optimised for) as it was previously.

I am now concerned that the new (more general and less focussed on service x) meta information is having a detrimental effect on my click-through ratio.

Is it possible for me to direct this ranking towards a landing page (focussed on service x)? The anchor text links that I have built mostly point to the home page, but in hindsight, I would rather have sent them to a service x landing page instead.

Thanks in advance,
Christian

You need to put extra effort to change your back link to your product page which you want to rank and also , create content and onsite changes so it will also rank in google.. but its really tough ..

If you can change the backlinks to your landing page that may work. Or you can put an anchor text link on your sidebar or whereever that goes to your landing page. Then build a few new links to the landing page.

Google will see you have an optimized page being linked from the homepage, and pass the juice from the links going to your homepage, through the internal sidebar link to your optimzed landing page that you have some new links going to.

Its a bit of work but should work.
