I have 300+ Web Direcory sites. Do I need to submit my website to all of that directories, or should I just pick some with high authority?

Thanks Warriors...

    Hey pororo

When I write a blog, these are the only 3 Web directories that I usually submit my site to. They work really well, and are easy!

    www.pingomatic.com

    www.pingler.com

    www.googleping.com

Be careful with too much submission. . From past experience, sites have been blacklisted.

I hope these tips are somewhat helpful!

Hi boosters, as far as I know, there are too many website directories whose page rank is 4 or 4+, then which directories should we choose to submit our website to? And, it usually take us too much time to get listed by most of the web directories or nothing will happen after several months submission. I really don't think web directories submission is a good way to build backlinks, it is a time-consuming job but usually get nothing helpful.

Ok in this way you can than choose randomly because of the web directories required reciprocal links. You can use software called sliq submitter which helps you to post to your web directories, add your own directories etc but as usual not as a freeware.

If you have scrapebox you can check those website domain age, domain authority which is more, that was powerful.

You don't need, and you should not. You should evaluate the sites you want to use, and not just blindly submit. That's the recipe to use if you want Google's unnatural backlink messages in your GWT.

See the category page that your link is likely going to be on. Is there PR to that page? How many links do you see there? Is it paginated? That's what defines the value of the backlink, not the PR of the front page.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.

Well, first thing is remove all the directory submission you have made ! and one more thing that I would like to tell you there is no need of directory submission now DMOZ and Yahoo directory submission are enough. I remember some of the directory submission sites will help you in getting inside the hands of the Google Penalty. I remembered when I began cleaning up my backlink profile after receiving "unnatural links pointing to our site", we have left some of the directories but we began laughing when after submitting our first reconsideration request we get a message stating some directory sites in the example which are outside the guidelines of Google, after then we became strict over the directory submitting site.

    PR4+ web directories only?

    That's too conservative IMHO.

You know your site and know how much it can take. If it's a big boy, go with PR0+ and I'll tell you why.

Most of these web directories which have PR only give you naked URls as anchors for example http://yoursite.com

This means this is as natural as it gets. You submit the link and make sure the content is unique (so it easily gets picked up by search engines). You get a natural anchor.

However, if the web directories you are submitting are letting you choose the anchor text then that is something you should refrain from putting your money keywords in. Why? Because thousands of others are using that site to get links for their sites.

    Just my two cents.

Your two cents is worth negative cash....

Where do you get this info from?

Directories are a complete waste of time, especially the ones you tout going for.

Why are you telling people to waste their time?

I just cannot fathom where on earth you get this stuff from.

What to do with website directories? Ignore them completely and do something useful.

Just submit directory to the website which have good domain authority rather then all of them.. Nowadays we have seen that rely on directory submission to get backlings is an old fashion techniques & Google will consider only to those backlinks which are actually a quality backlinks that means backlinks from good authority domains.

I assume you want links to your money site. In that case, be absolutely selective, only high PR directories as directories in itself is losing favor from google due to its exploitation by spammers. I would only use PR3+ to $$$ site.

Ranking power of directories are very much reduced after google updates. Avoid the directories which are having site wide links and having very low PA, DA irrespective of their PR. As PR can be easily faked by buying an expired domain. It will be best to use the directories to get links only for your tier 1 links and not directly to your money site.

However you can submit to high authority directories like dmoz, yahoo directory, jayde etc to get links directly to your money site. Now google take account of quality links for ranking and the quantity of the links does not matter. The more low quality links you accumulate, the more danger of manual penalty for your site.
