Question on dynamic URL

I operate a website called nameomatic.com.

I am about to start asking other websites to link to me. For example, I plan to find a website about the Schmidt surname, and then ask them to link to the following URL, as it customizes my products to that exact surname:

My question is, if do get people to link to URLs of that structure, will it still count as a backlink? I ask because it's a dynamic URL...

Dynamic urls come in all flavors. What you have might not be a dynamic
url, in the true sense of the word. Those are normally urls created on the fly,
but are still "real" webpages. Contrast that to a youtube video with the same
?=. That's really accessing a database. For the most part, browsers ignor
anything after a ?. Try a little experiment.

warriorforum.com/?=whateveryouwant will probably load the regular warrior
    forum.

I'm pointing that out because affiliate links have those ?= or some other
notation to access a database or some other value for a script.

That's why I always say that making links to a youtube video is kinda
useless. You are really making links for youtube, not your video. Better
to embed a video, link to that. The youtube "link" is not to a webpage
that exists. Nobody is ever going to access the video from a url. They
will be zapped to a webpage that google creates, at that particular time
and place. It could change in an instant.

    Yes, there are exceptions.

Here's how you can tell if google is treating it your url as a pseudo-webpage.
Do a search for the url. If it comes up, bingo. No problem. If not, then
what the links are backlinking for is the main index page of the domain.

It could also be that your CMS is not allowing google to index those created
pages by blocking them in robots.txt.

In short, the traffic would go to your desired location, but the backlink would count
    for the index page.
