Hi,

I run a WordPress blog and have chosen the category/post-name structure for permalinks. I chose this setup some time ago so can't really change it now (too many backlinks etc).

One of my categories is reviews, so all posts in the reviews category have a URL like this:
http://mysite.com/reviews/post-name

My question is, if the post name has the word 'review' in (which it often does), is it okay to include it in the post name bit of the URL?

E.g. http://mysite.com/reviews/iphone5-review

Or is it unnecessary to include the keyword 'review' twice? Does it look spammy/like keyword stuffing?

    Its fine.

But if you were to use review twice in page url thats when its not okay for example
    hotp://mysite.com/reviews/iphone5-review-number-one-review-source

Google is smart enough to know that /reviews/ is category and anything after the / is page name.

You are spot on my friend, was about to say the same thing.

Personally though I don't use category names in my urls.

Keywords in URLs are most important SEO for every search engine. Keyword in URL's increase the click through rate from SERP's.
