Free classified web directory optimization

I have a question to raise at warriors panel. It is when someone is planned to run a Free classified web directory, there may be possibility to have duplicate content to the website because most of the people copy/paste their adds to the next day.
Shall there be any negative effect to the SEO due to this stuff of duplication ? What is the strategy to overcome on this issue ?

Would you help to improve the knowledge of people by participating your thoughts ?

    My understanding of duplicate content, especially if you are properly using the canonical tag and following best practices...is that you won't be penalized...it's just that your duplicate pages won't be as highly ranked.

      I think you couldn't understand what i said. Let suppose if i am providing a on-line tutor service and post something about my services in free classified directory, after some time someone also come with the aim to post the same service. He checked my add that was already posted there copy it and post with a change of only his name and cell #. Now there may be 100 people who do this type of stuff daily then how many pages shall be duplicated and in a month and in a year ? Shall i gain penalty in this case of free classified directory posts ?
