How to find how many sites are optimized with any keyword?

Hello Everyone,

I can find the total search traffic for any keyword but I cannot find out that how many sites are optimized for that keyword.

How to find that how many sites are optimized with any keyword?
How to know which keywords receive equal traffic in all search engines?

    Hey,

    I would check out TrafficTravis. It is a free software that allows you to do a full competitor analysis not only for keywords, but for backlinks as well.

    It also shows you what needs to be done to outrank them.

      Search it in Google. Try this footprints in Google

      site:.com "your keyword here"
      site:.gov "your keyword here"
      site:.edu "your keyword here"

    To find that how many site on the web have optimized their page with the keyword use this string
    ->> allintitle:[keyword]
    This will show you the web pages that have optimized their title with keyword.
    Don't do this more then 8-10 times in a day otherwise search engine may consider you a hacker.

      I'm stuck on understanding the relevance of an allintitle search in Google. For example, if I type in the term tennis gear (like any casual web surfer might do), it returns 20.7M pages, with its unique page #1 results. However, using allintitle:"tennis gear", only 8,790 pages are returned. BUT, these pages aren't necessarily the ones that the web surfer sees on page #1. Why would the allintitle search results be considered important when its unique page #1 results don't correlate with what a surfer/potential customer sees in the search?

      There must be a simple explanation here that just hasn't hit me yet (as a noob). Hope you have time to get back to me.

    Who cares how many sites are "optimized" for your keyword?

    And doing inurl searches is an absolutely stupid exercise.

    All you need to look at is the websites on page one, and really just the top 3. Everything else is irrelevant.

    If you want to use intitle: use it on the top ranked domains/pages.

    Example, say Warrior Forum ranked #1 on Google SERPs for the keyword need seo help.

    Google search string:
    • site:www.warriorforum.com intitle:"need seo help"

    That will basically give you an idea If the ranked page is a one hit wonder or there's multiple internal pages on the same #1 ranked domain that's focused on the [exact] keyword. Obviously a one hit wonder ranked page could still have awesome backlink profile (for the single ranked page).

    You could also do a search like below to check multiple internal pages on a #1 ranked domain/page to see If the domain has a bunch of optimized internal link anchor-text or plain text targeting your exact keyword.

    Google search strings:
    • site:www.warriorforum.com "need seo help"
    • site:www.warriorforum.com intitle:"need seo help"
    • site:www.warriorforum.com "need seo help" -intitle:"need seo help"

    Screaming Frog can also be handy for researching competition domains.
