Hey everyone, I am new to Internet marketing I hear it is a great way for a secondary source of income or your main source of income, I had just bought the recent google cash explosion by mark whitley and google sniper 2.0 by george brown.

I have heard about doing keyword research which is my main problem, I have virtually no luck with it, I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice finding profitable keywords? As I am sure many people have had trouble finding this I am sure it will be useful to them ,

Here is my first site which I have created I am ranking 4th currently on google and have some traffic here and there Secret Career Document

But yeah, keyword advice would be awesome!

Cheers

    Hey,

When doing your keyword research, you always want to stick to keywords that get high traffic, but have very low competition. These keywords are much easier to rank for than the very competitive keywords that will take a lot of time and money to rank for.

I would suggest using the Jaaxy Keyword tool. In my opinion, it is the best keyword tool on the market and I have had nothing but great success with it.

    Hope this helps!

I am not sure if the successful providers of keyword research services would spill the beans for you. That's their secret sauce in their business. But the general rule of thumb when doing a keyword research is you search for low competition keywords, CPC of at least $1.00 USD.

Check on the # of competing sites on Google.
Check on the average daily searches on Google.

Not true at all. It depends what you are selling. If you are selling something that makes you $1500 per sale, then low traffic keywords can be great too. I'll go after keywords that only get 10 searches a month in that case.

That's just dumb advice that keeps getting rehashed over and over again. The number of results in Google's index has NOTHING to do with the level of competition. Every keyword has the same number of competitors. Three. That's it.

General rule of thumb, is if you are ranking #1 you will get about 45-60% of the traffic for the keyword, #2 will bring 10-12% at best, #3 about 5-8%, and anything outside the top 3 will bring about 2% or less.

If you are not in the top 3, unless it is a really high traffic keyword, you are pretty much irrelevant.

Keyword research tools that I like are
Long Tail Pro (Platinum) for finding related keywords and a KC metric
and Moz (Pro) for the statistics of the top ten
    Spreadsheets for analyzing metrics

Doing keyword research is a long and arduous process, that requires practice. It's not something you can click a button and a keyword pops out (otherwise we'd all be using it, right..). Lots of practice, lots of building sites and learning why, and what type of keywords and results can be profitable.

There are really niches that are a challenge when it comes to keyword research. I suggest you look at related top ranking sites and check the keywords they are using. That will give you a good head start.

Follow few steps on keyword research, these steps are very easy and simple for doing keyword research, firstly you have to target on with a best keyword lists, find a best keyword research tool, refine your list using suggested keyword phrase from a analysis tool, verify your keyword phrases, sea the search volume to find out consumer demand, analyze the competitive space, and the searcher think about the keyword of same thing.
