Offsite optimization means building links to your site. Highly recommend you spend more time researching how to build links here on the forum as it can be incredibly complex (or simple, all depends on how you approach it).

offsite optimization can be a lot of things and not just focusing on creating backlinks..from what I understand is that you created a blog to sell clickbank products (dog training), you should use your contents to connect with traffic that are interested with your niche this can be with groups or communities that are related in the niche you are looking to sell.

You mentioned that you are focusing on Labrador training, I think that this is probably a good idea since dog training is a very popular and competitive niche for IMers.
Try reading some backlinking blogs like backlinko. Off-page SEO or link building, as it is called, is the most important and most diffcult part of SEO. It will take a lot of reading and implementation to get it right. You will probably want to buy a domain and some cheap content to experiment with because if you don't accidentally burn a domain while learning, you probably won't ever get there.
Also, the algorithm is designed to push your rankings down if you don't diversify properly, keep that in mind.

Off-page or off-site optimization is all about what you do to improve your website's rankings in search engines that don't happen on your website. e.g. building backlinks, gaining social shares (debatable). Here's a PDF on link building strategies that you can use today: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e67g3vo7ba...Strategies.pdf

    Hi GNR991,

Offsite SEO involves listing your site and posting content to other online locations. For example: listing your site on YouTube as a channel (if you want to create videos), is offsite

    Other examples:
    - Listing your site on forums, your profile and commenting in the communities, is offsite SEO (link in your profile and signature)
    - Press Releases - using PRs, you can build offsite SEO through links in your PRs. Make sure to link using your keywords.
    - Guest Posting - use guest posts to build offsite SEO. Google says guest posting isn't that much of a factor anymore, but I believe it is for high page rank sites that are authorities in your niche
    - Social media - build those social media profiles and pages. Make sure you post your content there and encourage people to interact with your content. When they share, that sends signals to Google that your content is good and is social proof, which helps in offsite SEO.

There are more examples than these, but I hope this gives you a clearer understanding of offsite optimization.
