Hi there
I need warriorforum members suggestion

I want to build a niche site ...has huge earning potential. I found a EMD cost me around $400
but it's ".ORG" keyword has 27,100 monthly search low competition.
there are 3 authority page in competition on page #1.
-wikipedia
-webmd
-wikihow

and i can rank b/w 7-10 rank on page #1 according to my calculation.
Should i go with EMD., The problem comes with EMD is "EMD is my main keyword"
its low competition -informational keyword with massive monthly search .

or should i build a brand around.

I'd say use the $400 for some awesome content and buy a free brandable domain, or a partial match dot com domain.

Personally I feel that EMD's can still work (plenty of success stories) but unless you are very careful, you are primed for an over optimization penalty.

No dont bother with EMD make up your own brand...there are loads of examples all over the web showing you can get high on page #1 organic search without EMD....save your money and spend it on SEO....

EMD's with that amount of searches that go for cheap often have some bad history.

You could easily end up with penalties caused by others, even when no backlinks are showing anymore, some penalties seem to carry on for a lifetime.

Had this myself a couple of times in the past so I'm always very careful when buying a used/pre-registered domain or a domain that has been dropped in the past.

Better safe your money unless you think you can re-sell it for more in case it doesn't work out for you.

I would be very careful buying any EMD for high traffic keywords, especially .com EMDs, even if it is being sold as a new domain, i.e. available for registration.

So you would advise going with an EMD .ru, .pk, .tk,...? Go for it.

Anybody who thinks an EMD will get listed in SERPS on that alone is drinking the kool aid.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

From your post, it seems you've already bought the domain. If that's the case, you can still brand it even though it contains your main keyword. Don't put too much effort in building and promoting the site in the beginning until the EMD has proven to be a healthy domain. Lastly, add the EMD to webmaster tools to check for any manual penalties. If you haven't bought the EMD, just buy a new brandable domain.

If you haven't purchased the domain definitely check the backlink profile first. You don't want to spend anything on a domain that has been spammed to death by a previous marketer and has already been penalized or even de-listed from Google.

If you already bought the domain, you still may want to take the advise of others and get a brandable domain for your site. You can 301 the EMD to your branded domain and if you think the EMD domain would have more authority, build backlinks to it. The 301 will pass most of the link juice...and if the EMD ever gets penalized, you can just turn off the 301 and your branded domain will be better off.
