I'm pretty sure something associated with "for sale" keyword will be very much competitive. Hmm..but, have you tried keywords research? And also, when do you plan to sell home, I mean location/s?

Possible doing keyword research with the tool. With words that are like cheap real estate in Indianapolis. Could pop open a thesaurus too and use different words. Many possibilities.

Part of learning SEO is knowing what its good for and what its not good for. If you want to sell a house fast then use an established site (or realtor) that sells homes - That will mostly be a realty website or a for sale by owner site

Trying to rank a site for a quick home sale is not the way to go.

You should use a keyword which have low competition and high search volume. Because it is easy to rank low competition keywords on Google which have maximum search per day.

If your home is in Indianapolis, Indiana, you could place an advertisement in Google Adwords and complete for terms like "homes for sale in Indianapolis." However, this would get very expensive, very fast. If you want to sell your home yourself, I'd use a few top websites that display homes for sale by owner and place a few advertisements in some local publications. The only drawback to selling your house by owner is that (in my opinion) it will take a bit longer to sell because you can't expose the property to as many potential buyers as quickly as a REALTOR.

With a good keyword tool or Google suggest, you can find out what keywords people are using to find buyers and optimise your site for them. This forum is not the best place to find relevant keywords for your site.
