39000 Pageviews Yet I Can't Monetize My Site

Hi guys. This is my first post so first I want to say hello. Im looking for some help with my website if you don't mind.

It is a boxing blog with 4/5 posts per day on boxing news etc, and the pageviews are growing. This month we have had 39000 so far.

I'm using Adsense, but for the life of me I can't earn money on it. The amount I get is rubbish, like £0.17 a day. I've tried different ad placements, sizes, text color, everything I can think of.

Can you suggest a way to monetize a site like this? I'd be really grateful if you could.

    Not sure if you've tried yet but start to sell creatine / proteine powder.

    Perhaps you could sell boxing dvd's from Amazon or something as well.

    Another thing you can try is an email submit CPA offer, try to catch them with a free playstation / phone deal or something.

    I know it can be frustrating. With that many pageviews you should be making much more than that.

    The problem is that all visitors are not created equal. Some click and some don't. Your visitors are probably on your site to read your stories and they really don't want to click something and leave the site (in a way that's a testament to your content).

    Maybe a different monetization strategy is required e.g. amazon affiliates.

        Dr los3. It may be an old post, but the subject matter and the content of my WSO is still relevant for future visitors who come to this post with the same types of questions. After all, isn't that why you're here? Or do you just randomly visit two year old posts looking for fights?

    Yeah, I found this in search. If it wasn't meant to be used after two years it would have been deleted.

    Here are a my 3 top ideas.

    - Use Amazon's Affiliate program to promote boxing gear.
    - Build an email list and promote your to them weekly. Get more traffic coming back this may increase your traffic by 0.5x may times.
    - Lastly, find a ClickBank or make a good eBook to promote as well.

    Earning 1 cent per pageview is huge. Might not sound very much but you can earn a great income if your site has a lot of pageviews daily.

    In 1999/2000 I made 10 cents per view with a company (Themestream) that sadly went out of business. It was my best ever earner so would love to know how to make 1 cent per pageview.
