Two Local businesses registered at the same address

Hi Guys

I'm doing a bit of website work on the side for a client. She wants to register two different websites under the google plus local listings for her own address.

Is this sensible? Could having two companies at one address mean that both rank really badly?

I would assume the answer is yes but my company is based at an incubation centre with many different businesses registered and it doesn't seem to have a negative effect on things. I wonder if, though, google can recognise when a building is a business centre and when a building is somebodies home address (she is basing her business from her home).

Would appreciate any thoughts on the matter.

Thanks,

Dave

Just vary both addresses. Add a minor detail that differentiates both so they don't read exactly the same. That should be sufficient.

If you're going to do this, make sure you create 2 completely separate listings... even if the address if the same. Add something to the address like 'Suite B' or 'Upstairs' to the second listing.

Just so Google thinks it is 2 separate locations.

What it is is cheating and breaking Google's Terms of Service.
