Hey

I am getting many sites deindexed lately.

I was wondering if anyone else had been experiencing this.

Some of my competitors faced similar issue. They played too much with their backlink profile as I can see.

Pretty normal nowadays, Google are targeting SMEs so pretty much most get caught out using standard SME tactics (backlinks, social media), we target 20-50% growth so use completely different methods - basically the same that the enterprise comapnies use to generate ~25 organic visitors per $1 hosting. If eCommerce you need to understand that 50% of all traffic comes via PPC and organic, it goes downhill pretty rapidly from there.

I am not quite sure what you mean. What is a SME?

I am desperately trying to decypher how G is finding my sites to deindex them.

What kind of hosting are you using?

        Do you block any bots?

are your PBNs full of crap content?

I had part of my small private network deindexed, it was actually because of the host that it was on. It seems that other sites on the shared hosting account were all PBN's and Google took action against the host as a whole and not because of my sites. These sites were in my "aging" process and I hadn't even used them yet.

Might have something to do with your host. Do you share the same server with largely spammy websites?

I've read complaints from others as well about the same issue but none of my sites have been kicked out of Google's index. I host all my sites on Bluehost.

How do you vary the class of IP's if you're all on bluehost?

It's obvious for most but over the years I've had a bunch of people ask why their pages are deindexed, I look at their source code, sure enough they have noindex tags in their HTML.

    Check the easy stuff first.

      Mike:

I use hosting scattered around, mainly in the US.
If I use any SEO style hosting I put it on diff A or B classes.
I dont do C class SEO hosting.

And I hve had some sites with bad content get nailed, but I have also had ones with long lengthy good content get nailed.

Yes I block bots - I use SpyderSpanker.

      Yukon:

No I dont have noindex stuff in them, but I can look deeper.

Usually on the sites that get deindexed, I decide to set up WMT on them (AFTER they've been deindexed) with a clean fresh gmail account that I have no affiliation with. When I check I see a manual review for Pure Spam.

Its likely you were reported by a competitor. The problem with blockers is there are still alot of bots that are not identifiable

how many pages is one of these sites and what is the niche?

If you say something like "losing weight and it's 15 pages" I'm surpised G would index you in the first place.

Is a 15 page site bad?

Are you saying every PBN site should have more than 15 pages?

People I know seem to have ones with just a few pages.

The whole "thin content" penalty is based off of the niche but thin content is next to spam sites/doorway pages so...

a website on 15 pages on weight loss doesn't make any sense. There is Waaaaay more information about out there than 15 pages on weight loss so unless you have some patented method to losing weight you are promoting it doesnt make sense.

people who do the 10-15 page thing just to add content and "thicken up" a site don't understand that if you want to "thicken up" you site you want to have several THOUSAND pages indexed into google.

even my micro-niche sites are a few hundred pages (sometimes I copywrite my own articles and put them back up )

Build real sites not just an excuse to put up links and you will always be safe.
