Want to Deindex one Post. How to do it safely?

Want to deindex a post. Should I put it back to "in draft" from PUBLISHED and then?

    Delete the post first, then add your site to Google Webmaster Tools and use the url removal tool to remove the post from the index. After several hours, it will be completely deindexed.

    Simply put a NOINDEX tag on it or set it Private or Go to Search GWT and request a removal of URL/s from search results.

    Just delete it, and google is going to remove it. But it take time, for me it took half month.
