I have realized that a lot of the high PR sites I have linked to add a nofollow tag in their links ... It's becoming kind of confusing . How are we expected to rank our sites if all the sites use no follow ? I'm sometimes wondering if Google does secretly still use nofollow links to rank site because almost all the sites I'm about to link to uses that tag .... Any tips or ideas on finding dofollow sites ? And do you think google still ranks no follow these days ?

I always believed nofollow ranks sites because google can't ignore them but Nope nofollow links are useless. They are good for link profile diversity but thats about it.

This is why people are buying PBN and paid links because the days of spamming are over. I doubt anyone is going to give you list of do-follow links, if they do those sites are probably going to be spammed to death and useless.

You can also try guest blogging and reaching out to other sites in your niche.

A PBN (Private Blog Network) is a network of websites hosted on different class C IPs built for the purpose of linking to your money sites. The domains used are usually high authority expired domains.

To get dofollow links, buy PBN links or build your own, publish guest posts, build tiered links with web 2.0s, etc.

Google created nofollow to do just that: Ignore them.

Here's a hint: Create your own places for backlinks. Been doing and touting that for years here.

Any site worth their salt is going to either not allow links, or auto-nofollow them.

The flip side might be even worse. Putting a nofollow link on a site that allows
that, is probably spammed to death and useless anyway.

    Create your own online empire.

Hello Paul , thanks for answering .. I am not quite sure what you mean by creating my own place for backlinks or online empire .. do you mean creating my own directory ? I mean the site I am trying to rank is in a total different category .. I am not in the directory business ... or am I missing your point .. sorry if I am , maybe you can explain to me more about what u meant by creating my own place . Backlinks are supposed to be diverse .. aren't they ? You can't have a quality backlink from just one website or directory .. My question here is .. how can I get diverse backlinks that are dofollow ??

As said by mkgg, nofollow back links are good for link profile diversity, but you should be focusing much if the links are follow or no follow, what is important is to build back links from strong websites relevant to your website.

I understand that .. but how can you build links from relevant websites when almost all of them use the nofollow tag .. that's the question here

Reach out to them and see if they will do a link-exchange. But most sites worth anything will only do that when your site has some PR and traffic so for a new site its out of question. Also link-exchange should be done sparingly and with very highly relevant sites or that can result in a penalty as Google frowns upon link exchanges.

PBN means private blog network, its when you own high authority sites and link them all to your money site to build authority of your site/rank for keywords. You can buy from providers here or make your own PBN if you know how to find good quality expired domains.

Is this violating Google guideline or not by buying PBN from providers? I'm thinking it would be much more efficient to buy PBN instead of building our own.

Yes, I thought about nofollow links same as you. I still think that they actually have some link juice.

Guest blogging on website/ blog with the same niche as yours is definitely a good move. Unfortunately there aren't many choices left today...

I use for it GSSCRAPER and put this into GSA SER, I have xxx.xxx.xxx target sites where I can drop dofollow backlinks on

Of course the big boys with TOP DA sooner or later will probably switch into nofollow cos people spam them as a hell currently and it`s probably matter of time only, but there will be always good places to put dowollow baclklinks on as lon as google threat dowollow backlinks valuable for ranking.

I never nofollow links. Why should I.
Vast majority of webmasters use dofollow. Only some SEOs think that they SHOULD nofollow links.

Most of the platforms that get mainstream and popular starts no following their links. I would suggest trying to find some niche specific platforms / websites , there is less chance they are employing no follow tags if they are not that big and are not spammed to death.
