Hi Warriors,

I'm reading a lot about SEO TOOLS like GSA SER Engine Ranker coupled with Kontent Machine can still generate backlings and rank your site after the latest updates.

Is this really true?

Shall I invest in them & start my campaigns ?

Or do I need to invest In some other tools?

Kindly advice

    Hi
These is just for name sake as well as it is not permanent. These will sustain for few days but if we are getting by manual methods means it will be good.

    Hi!

Speaking of the latest updates... Does anyone know how penguin works or have some advice what else can I do besides checking all the links to my site manually?
I'm desperate, before penguin update my site was in the top 10, now it's on 50th. I'm running an e-shop and this site is my only source of income... If I don't get back to top 10 again I'm afraid I will go totally bankrupt.

This is a really serious issue, it makes me really scared of IM. I have a faint idea of what it feels like when your income source suddenly goes dry.
Can anyone please explain how penguin works? Or at least advice on how to recover from it.

Move the site to a new domain. Best way to beat google is never be attached to a domain.

Yes, but your're not going to like it. Google is moving to a trust based system, the bigger you look the more trust - the more detail the niche the more trust - everything in between is going to have a tough time. There are two forms of seo Technical & Business. Tech SEO is platform, hosting, product count, performance and used by the corporates. Business SEO is backlinks, social media, press releases - time based. SMEs (Small to Medium Enterprises - bascially small business) are going to find it difficult going forward as you increasingly need more time to rank or very high-end experience - hence the delisting.

The key figure is number of organic visistors per $1 of spend - be it Tech SEO, Business SEO (including your time) or combined. Corporates get 25-30 visitors per $1 - SMEs are lucky with 5-10, for example we just put a company on specialist Magneto hosting and are getting 24 organic visitors per $1 with zeor marketing, zero ppc, zero social media.

Have you used this? Seems promising.

Is this a monthly cost or a one off price?

@Vickcarty I've checked my links on Google Webmaster Tools - and if the link was bad I removed it, when I was able to.
      Thank you for your answears!

Have you consider changing existing domain to new one using 301 redirects?

We've already performed few successful redirects from old penalized domains to new one using suggestions posted on Link Research Tools: Google Penguin Recovery Method - The Orca Technique

What can I add from mine side - please be very accurate when it comes to link cleaning. Be sure that you have checked/disavowed every link - even those which return 404 errors now (Google can in some way still count them).

Tools are just to replicate the things which are working for you.

With tool you can speed up your link building strategies and rank your websites by putting less efforts.

I would suggest to use such tools only for short term websites in the start because you will learn to operate the tools in your starting days.

Once you will become the master of these tools, you can use them for your money sites as well.

So use of tools depends on experience and website's duration.

Recovering from a penalty can be tough. If you can, easiest way is to go with a new domain. Otherwise you can disavow all your bad links. Use something like ahrefs or majesticseo to find your bad back links or pay a link removal service. Still a crapshoot though, disavowing doesn't guarantee a recovery.

Having control over your back links is a good idea, one of the benefits of using a pbn or building one yourself. Something to consider when you are linkbuilding.

Tools like GSA can work, but if you don't have a good list of sites and the right settings, you can end up doing more harm than good.

Manual is the only way if you want links that will actually stay alive after a few months

Don't concentrate on how many just concentrate on quality.

For instance I spent 8+ hours over the course of a week designing this infographic. It took me a lot of time but i managed to acquire a few high quality links from it.

I think seo doesnt work that good anymore, unless you spend a lot of money. Thats my opinion though.
I rather stick with social media marketing

i agree, if you can hack it, spend some money with social media, its better investment and ROI than SEO.

I am not saying SEO is crap, you just do not have to worry that google with squeeze your testicles with the next nut job animal update. THey are rediculous these days.

Plus with social media you can target really well too. Its better than most people realise.

SEO works, just the dynamics have changed - most get 5-10 organic visitors per $1 - the corporates get 25-30 - very high return on investment. You do realise social media only directly drives ~1-2% of sales orders through the channel, organic - ppc - email drive 60%!

    Awesome views

I realise that use of mix bag will be the right solution as both manual and careful tool driven traffic should help rank better!

I hope we agree on it

SEO is great but it takes a lot of time and effort, as well as money. With Google changes their algorithm once in a while I guess we have to constantly seeking new tools and not depend on any single one! As a beginner I think I'd rather use other sources of traffic.

Not as easy as couple of months ago yet, but it`s still possible with proper settings and of course good verified list, I know the place with free several GSA SER lists they are verified as I see it`s 200 MB zip file if you are interested PM me I will share it for free, I have on those lists 80-100 LPM, some of the target sites are dead cos those lists are not fresh but that`s are stil thousands of contextual target sites and at least 10 more of non contextual.

Thanks all for great views. I think I should go with GSA for tier 2 and tier 3 and for tier 1 I think FCS networker should help!

I would still be interested in knowing whether someone is using FCS networker fir tier 1

GSA SER is a tool like any other this you can rank anything with this tool or another depends on this what backlinks sources you are using and what teqhniues. I rank sites exclusively with GSA SER since years even today despite latest algho changes, nothing has changed. If you follow the trends vary everything etc. it still works.

Of course there are a lot of people who blame this tool or another for this google penalized them, but it`s their fault, not the tool they have used.

As many who use them can confirm - FCS Networker and any other similiar tool still works , of course everything getting bit harder every year but backlinks still works, google changing factors influences etc. but the tests are for this to find out what still works what doesn`t and we should improve our techniques. Tools working as 5,6,7 years ago, the ways of using them changing only a bit, so the question is not if there is any tool which works after latest update but what techniques works (:
