Hey,

I distribute content on Tumblr and other social media platforms. These are about the only backlinks I'm pursuing at this time. It's working decently as organic search traffic is growing.

I'm wondering if creating real blogs that I update weekly with unique content on WordPress.com and Blogger with links to related articles on my money site is:

(a) good for SEO,
(b) bad for SEO or
(c) No SEO impact?

These will be real sites with daily images and info. I'll be driving traffic to them from my other social media sites.

I do this with a Tumblr blog and it works decently for traffic. I'll post different content on WordPress.com/Blogger, but the concept will be the same.

Yes it will work and if the content is unique then it will benefit your main site.

To begin with though the free sites you create will have no page authority or domain authority so will have minimal impact on pushing certain keywords up the SERP.

Over time though as all age and grow content as well as social shares then it will be of much more benefit to your main site. SEO with anything is slow and long term.

    Actually,

WordPress.com even with a fresh blog as HUGE Domain Authority, but the page authority will be low when you first start publishing content, however, having great Domain Authority is a ranking factor and if you link back to your money site, even better.

Yes.. anytime you have other sites "vouching" for your money site it looks good to Google... As a side tip.. completely overdo the backlinks (spammy and as many as you can find from Fiverr) on the Blogger blog... as it is owned by Google it won't get slapped and will boost the relevance of your money site having a "big dog" in Google's eyes linking to your money site... DON'T do that with your Wordpress site but linking back to your money site from there is appropriate.

    hope That helps

If the content is unique and there is no duplication, then certainly it is good.

When you have link from wordpress or blogspot blogs, make sure that the blog is updated frequently with good quality content. In a lot of rejected reconsideration request messages, I have seen blogspot and wordpress links as samples of bad links.

I think it`s the best you can do (:
I create for my clients satellite websites and update them frequently with fresh content.

The reason I am doing that is in many cases we can`t write anything we nedd (for seo purposes) on client`s business sites (optimization for specific keyphrases) cos it doesn`t look professional to their potential customers so in such cases I create a satellite pages on wordpress.com blog, com and other trusted platforms and what is beautiful they rank without any backlinks on many LT keyphrases, the cruicial part of it is keep publish fres content frequently, I am doing that 1-3 times /month and it works.

It sounds like you are creating a very obvious private blog network. Though you mentioned wanting to include quality content on the blogs. And, most PBN sites don't actually have quality content.

Even so, these new blogs won't carry much weight with Google, so a backlink from them won't be worth very much. All this seems like a very circuitous route for ranking.

For now, focus on your content and put your effort into driving traffic to your money site not new blogs you are using only for backlinking.
