Hi guys,

Recently my website dropped rankings from 1st page (2nd position) to 2nd page (15th position) for main keywords.

The rankings keeps changing, the website kept 15th position for 2 weeks then it bounced back to first page 2nd for 2-3 Days only and it's back to the 2nd page... !

What's wrong with this !!!

My website has recently seen a dramatic increase in bounce rate. Our bounce rate is typically between 1% to 3% on a monthly basis. However, starting in December our website has been attacked (for lack of a better term) by someone trying to artificially increase our bounce rate in an effort to decrease our search engine ranking- and they have succeeded.

    Hi,

When did you realize the change is ranking? Google have updated its algorithm recently, that may affect your ranking. And also did you get any manual action mail from google team?

How many links are you building per day? You might be building links too fast or you might be building too many low quality links or excessively using exact-match anchor text.

Yep, Google dance. My new sites always bounce a bit and then stabilize as the links "stick". Just give it some time.

The search engine position changes occur for most of the websites. Keep doing the seo tasks on a regular basis without spamming. Though seo is a slow process, you will get prolonged results on a long run.

    That's Google for you.

Do you have traffic coming in from social to compensate?

On the whole, you get what you pay for.

In most cases is related to backlinks dissapearing, you just should control it in tools like ahrefs if you see more drops than increases you will get your answer (:

Sometime back, I read how Google does this 'dance' to confuse the webmaster whom they suspect of blackhat or webspam techniques. They bounce the site up and down in search from one week to the next so the person who owns the site doesn't know what technique is causing the shifts. Eventually, the site slides so far down in search that it's buried under thousands of other sites. Just rethink whatever you have been doing lately, such as backlinking and ensure you are not linking from bad neighborhoods or engaging in spammy backlinking techniques. Even if not, someone could have backlinked to you, so check to see if there are any links to disavow.

Build strong back links slowly, and your website should become with stable ranking on the first page.

The best thing you can do is to consistently continue building and adding to your site at a steady pace.

It's pretty normal for pages to do that in the search engines. I have even heard of 2 people in the same home doing the same search and getting different results according to the server their query contacted.

here is little solution that i came up with and it helps. When you feel that your website is bouncing in terms or rankings, start updating your website more frequently with unique and fresh data and your website will never bounce off the rankings, I have experimented with it, the i update my website and add unique data, the better rankings i have and the more visitors i get
