Can I make search engines crawl and index only certain pages in a membership site?

I need help. I have a membership site that is accessible only to registered members by Email and Password.
However in this site there are certain pages (like the forums) that I would like Search Engines to Crawl and Index while leaving all other private pages alone.
Is this possible? How do i do this?
