Question on website psotion

I have a website that is ranking in the 7-10 pages for some of my main keywords.

My On page is mainly OK other than I could use some more content, but compared to my competition on first page of Google it is not far behind to warrant my 7-10 pages deep.

I have a reputable company doing some diverse back linking for the last 7-8 months.

Comparing my competitors or at least what I can see some of them have low domain scores/ bad On page etc..

My site is not that great considering some of the standards.

PR1
DA33
PA42
CF25
TF22

Again, I know these aren't great stats but some of my competition is half that all around.

I know Sandbox is not a reality, but could I be in something like that withing Google.

Should I just forget about trying this one and start with a new domain?

Suggestions?

Well, they will not show me 100% of the back links. I know there are some low quality links mixed in with higher PR links. I think they are PR1 and up.

The quality of the website does not depends on the page rank only, page rank is just an indicator, many websites are being established on page rank expiring or bought domains, this does not mean that these websites are of quality.

You need to find to focus on the quality of the back links you are getting to your website, the quality of your website content, if the SEO company is not able to improve your ranking by getting good back links to your website and doing good on-page SEO, then I am not sure why you are paying them for.

If you drop your domain and start with new one without finding what is wrong from your side or the SEO company side, then you are going probably to repeat the same mistakes with the new domain.

Make sure your looking at the text version of webpages (ex: Google cache text version) because a lot of times the live webpage is a lot different than what shows up behind the scene (HTML source code).

Also, look at the big picture for ranked pages. Do they have a lot of strong internal supporting pages boosting the SEO strength of the ranked page? Those additional internal supporting pages might all have strong external backlinks.

One sign of strong internal supporting pages is multiple pages ranked for the exact same keyword. Even without multiple ranked pages per keyword/domain they could still have strong internal supporting pages. Just one more thing to research.

If the websites of your competitors are older than yours, you will find it more difficult to outrank them. Besides, the stats provided by link research tools aren't 100% reliable. Some of your competitors might be hiding their links.
