hi,

Whenever I publish a new post, usually it gets ranked after indexing but day by day it starts to drop its ranking..

Can anyone tell,
why this is happening ?

like I published a post about iPage Coupon Code August 2014 and it also get ranked at second position of first page, but after 4-5 days, it got out to 8th page ? why ?

    Hi ToTz,

It's called QDF (Query Deserves freshness) and there are hundreds of threads on this forum discussing it.

Most likely what dburk said indeed.

We had it lately with a client as well, he started to rank at the 1st page for keywords with 10.000's of exact searches within a week time, quite unique, unfortunately it lasted just as long, about a week.

Took some time to explain him that it was plain impossible to rank for such keywords in just a week time and that it will slowly climb back as we continue to build links.

Try and submit a sitemap if you do not have one, or resubmit your sitemap if you already have one.

What year is this? Maybe he should also update his meta keywords as well?

I have never in my life submitted my sitemap to Google. If you built your site correctly Google will have no problems indexing the site. Having to submit a sitemap to Google should trigger a penalty in my opinion.

You need backlinks, to both your domain and the new pages created. Google gives good rankings to start sometimes because it's new content. That won't last long and then its time to start building links.

Some queries demands latest content i.e. news so it is normal to get down once new fresh relevant content comes up.

I can only confirm, building good quality backlinks should make it climb (:
