Hi there

I've been using a service for some days to index my backlinks, not pinging them, and not the content of my sites,

Is this practice a risk or not?

Any experience or thoughts?

If you need to use a service to index your backlinks, then your backlinks suck.

I have to agree on this with cbpayne, good back links doe not any kind of services to be indexed.

If crap links get penalized by the penguin algorithm and if your links are crap and need an indexing services to get them indexed, then I would assume that google is more likely to penalize you for the crap links as they are now indexed.

You should not index your backlinks. If your backlinks are good, they will be indexed by Google sooner or later.

Indexing services are mostly used for lower tiers backlinks, 1st tier should get indexed by itself (if builded on high quality websites), so this what is necessary indexing service for is to boost 1st tier backlinks by indexing 2nd /3rd tiers backlinks, It`s hard to provide (affordable) thousands of top quality backlinks in lower tiers , it`s pricey, not many people can afford that, so therefore people using lower quality backlinks for this purpose (2nd nad lower tiers) and indexing services. 1st tier without lower tiers is not enough in competetive niches so , to build them affordable most of the people do that on lower quality contextual sites and then put those backlinks in the indexer (dripfeed).

I have never experienced penalization because of using indexing service ,but the truth is some people for indexing using many BH services from fiverr for example, which is very bad way do do it these days, the thing to remember is also to use dripfeed, if you index all your backlinks at once - penalization should comes sooner or later cos it leaves too big footprint (: it just must looks as natural as possible. Anyway you can be penalized even if you don`t use tiers at all and have builded your 1st tier on top quality platforms, there are so many ways to do it and not all of them are safe (((: SEO is a game where google changing the rules all the time, you have to do a lot of tests in daily basis to find out what works and what is quite safe and what is not and implement the changes into your campaigns.

Such a long post to just waste precious space on the web.

Your points make absolutely no sense.

      1:
You're telling people firstly they should have high quality websites (links) pointing to their money site (Tier 1). Then you're saying, after you have all those great links pointing to your homepage. You should go ahead and spam the bejesus out of them with garbage links Tier2-3..whatever?

      2
Affordable Links? Someone needs to explain this one to me. My links don't cost me anything strangely enough. My links "make" money not cost money. And at the very least will increase their respective commodity value (Yes links are a commodity). Link building or building whatever, I'm not doing it for the love of the interwebs. I'm doing it for a healthy ROI.

      3
What exactly is a BH indexing service? There's a method of automatically submitting urls to thousands of auto approve sites,(whois, site valutaion sites etc..). That will create a page within their site linking back to you

Or, there's not not doing that.

It doesn't matter if you buy the service on Fiverr or at Tiffany's, they all pretty much do the same thing.

      4
Can you please explain to me what exactly a "natural" backlink profile looks like? I guess in your world every domain or page that went viral must be all de-indexed from Google now, with a pure spam notice.

SEO is hardly a game, it's a fairly large global industry that employs tens of thousands of people. I'm pretty sure they don't call how they make a living a game.

And the rules haven't really changed at all.

Build good content and get links from reputable (trusted, PR..etc..) sources, and then you will rank. It's pretty straight forward if you ask me.

      6
Seems you've got your SEO education from the last guy who sold you a WSO link blast, or off the back of a cornflakes box. Neither of those 2 are reputable sources of information.

      @OP

The risk is about the same as building crap links to begin with. You're already deep into the rabbit hole, so you might as well go all the way.

If your going to spam the web with junk, the least you could do, Is do it right.

Go full throttle and kill it. 100 squillain LPM pointing at everything with a page code 200, from here to China. Your goose will eventually be cooked anyway, so whats the point in doing things half assed. Go big or go home.

Walking backwards around your house 3 times won't hurt your backlinks.
But the question would remain, why are you wasting time walking backwards
      around your house?

Rather than use services like that and risk hurting your site's reputation or getting penalized, I think it's better for you if you look for another link that have more reputation so they will get indexed by Google themselves. I know it's quite hard to do, but as long as you do your On-Page Optimization and Off-Page Optimization correctly, your site should have good quality content and if you ask another website to link to you, they will be more inclined to do it.

I learned this lesson sometime ago.

if you have to index the backlink its not worth it. Quality backlinks do not need it as google will pick up the backlink sooner or later and chances are you will get more value out of it that way.

I use to index every backlink i recieved before learning i was actually sucking the life out of any links i recieved.

Build quality backlinks.. google will do the rest!
