Ecommerce website SEO for one country

Hello everybody,

I know some techniques and methods of SEO but really not so expert in it. From last few days I have one website which is an eCommerce site like amazon, ebay. I want to know how can we promote this type of website. Which SEO strategy is the best for this type of site. Also I want to promote this site for only one country. Is there anything special I have to do for this?? Your answer are really appreciated...

    SEO strategy— do some guest posts, reach out to bloggers in the niche you are and offer them a product in exchange of a review, commenting is another good idea.

    Start a blog. You will get a bunch of organic traffic.

      Your answer is put me in dilemma. Because as you know I already mention I know about SEO. If you want to promote your eCommerce site than I don't think that gueest blog is more important than other tasks.

    For country specific websites, you should search for the websites which are country specific. Like there are some regional directory sites which have database of the local businesses. Likewise there are classifieds sites, local business listings etc. So you can leverage these resources for local listings.

      Except social media only generates 2% of direct traffic for sales, and using ppc for more than 20% of a marketing strategy will put you out of business due to the low number visitors per $1.

    Get on to Facebook, Make your own app, socialize your products and services. Do paid marketing for month(If you have budget) to reach targeted customers and demographics. List your business locally first.

    Better do an Ice bucket challenge than go against amazon or ebay. lol..

    Anyway, as you mention you're not that expert in SEO try to hit those long tail keywords at low to medium competition and from then try to get a better conversion and save that money to go for med-high competitive keywords.
