Are aggregate websites good for SEO?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with aggregate websites. For example, something like drudgereport.com. If I created a website that listed the top ten most recent entries in the rss feed of 10 different but related websites i.e. tech news websites, would that hurt SEO? Has anyone had any experience with something like that?

Optimizing your public website for search is key to connecting with new and returning customers. SharePoint Online includes these search engine optimization (SEO) features to get you started: built-in robots.txt file, auto-generated sitemap file, canonical link filtering, and page-level metatagging for title, keywords, and description.

Don't worry; they have no idea what they are talking about either! Its a problem that is polluting Warrior Forum (and most SEO forums) lately - the cut and paste parrots are starting to ruin the place.
