Some Questions About SEO and Article Marketing

Hi everyone,

I have a question that I can't really find the answer through the web or all the big-time SEO gurus.

I sent an email to EzineArticles support a few days back. I got the reply today.

This is what I asked on the email :

Dear EzineArticles representative,

I'm very new to EzineArticles, I'm having some questions regarding posting articles to Ezine.

I'd like to submit my "blog posts" to EzineArticles, those blog posts are originally written by me. The question is am I allowed to submit them to Ezine without any rewriting on these posts?

Before I submit any of my blog posts to Ezine, I'd like to ensure there is nothing against Ezine's policy.

Your help will be very much appreciated.

Hi Zachary,

Thank you for the question. You can submit your articles from your Blog to our site. However, one thing we recommend when doing so, is to associate the articles with your Author Name here so there won't be any disputes when it comes to content similar to another source.

Also, please keep in mind that your article must be informative. We will not accept articles that are written more like a blog or personal story and do not contain informative content.

Informative content includes: Tips and strategies, opinions and commentary, or techniques on the specific topic of your expertise.

I suggest creating articles which turn your personal experience into tips or suggestions that the reader can use. This way the reader will be able to learn something from your experience rather than just reading about your story.

As the above statement, I'm sure that all of you are very clear with the question I asked. What I'm really concerned is something about the "duplicate" content. There are always people or even big-time SEO gurus saying that you must at least "rewrite" 30% - 50% of your original content before submitting to article directories.

Perhaps, it's nothing to do with the article directories? We rewrite the articles for submitting is to please Google? In fact you can always submit your original content to directory articles without any rewriting. But in Google's eye it will be duplicate content so it won't give much value to your own site.

Am I missing something? Should I rewrite the content before submitting or it's just redundant?

Hopefully you guys could help a little bit.

I still have some questions. What if a particular article of my blog has
already been published at some other article directories like goarticles.com?
Am I still allowed to publish the identical article I submitted to
goarticles.com to Ezine? Of course it will include my author name and
ownership of this article.

So in this case, am I still allowed to submit this particular article which
I "already" submitted to other article directories? The point is should I
rewrite them or it is actually redundant as long as I have the ownership of
this particular article?

Hopefully you could clarify me more in details.

  What else do you wanna know. I think Ezine articles have answered all your queries. if you are still seeking for answer then i would suggest you to rewrite the article before submitting it to every site. then you dont have to worry about duplicate content

You have to re-write the content. If you submit the same content to different article directories, search engines just filter out one of the articles and keep that link. The search engines don't index the duplicate content pages. They only keep one of them in the index. I actually tested it the other day.

Please do not answer my questions if you don't understand what exactly I'm asking. And I'm just looking for help not for a fight, perhaps you could say I'm a little bit sensitive. Yet I can sense that some people who answered my questions are a little bit of "wtf do u still want? you're very irritating"

Sorry if you felt like that but my question was actually asking that what else do you want to ask now when they answered all of your questions. If there is something, that is still irritating you then just go ahead and we will feel happy to help you in any matter

  My advice to you is to spend some few minutes rewriting the article. This is what I do and I hope it will answer your question. When i write a new article, I spend some few minutes rewriting it with the help of jetspinner - a free rewriting software. When i say rewriting, i don't want you to misunderstand me. I take my time to make sure that all the articles are well written and make sense to anyone reading it. After spinning it, I send unque article to ezinearticles, goarticles and several others. Dear pal, none of these directories has ever rejected the articles. As you were told by ezinearticles, i make sure that all the pen name in other directories are the same with the one am using on ezinearticles. You won;t have problem with them if you adhere to their terms. hope i answer your question. good luck.

  Well people have different opinions for your question as this is the most asked question on forums and some people say that it does not matter if you submit the same article on 100+ directories and some says that you should rewrite atleast 30% to submit it on different directories.
  My opinion and experience says that you can submit the same article to different directories and use your blog/site in resource box and you will get increment in SERP without having any issues

My post should have answered your question as would a search of this forum on the topic of duplicate content. Your question gets asked at least once a week and the correct answer is that it's not a concern for your article marketing efforts.

You can submit one article to many directories but its sure that search engines will never index duplicate contents.

I had the same question earlier and I had asked serveral persons, Most of them said, that is not an issue. So, I have planned to submit the same article to 15 directories and I did not follow any other ways to get backlinks. As soon as my published articles are cached, I have noticed increment in my SERP. That means, DUPLICATE CONTENT is not an issue in this case. That will be consider if you are publishing duplicate content on your own site....
