Quicky to any phpbb3 + phpbbSEO owners

My forum's been set to 'simple' mode since installing the phpbbSEO mod over 6 yrs ago.

I'd like to understand from fellow phpbb3 owners what improvements could be made to benefit SEO and SERPS if I considered changing the mode from 'simple' to 'advanced'. I'd also like to hear about any potential pitfalls to be wary of.

I've configured my test site with the 'advanced' option and everything 'appears' stable from a mod_rewrite point of view, no 404's, just a few topic titles which appear to be stuck on the old /topic12345.html url.

Anyway, thanks for your time and any light you can throw down.

p.s I forgot to mention that I have a feeling in my bones that I could see a great deal of improvement from SERPS traffic by enabling this but I could be completely wrong.

I'll go over to phpbbseo forums in the meantime but if any phpbb3 website owners would like to respond that'd be great? After all this is an SEO forum with webmasters on isn't it?

    Thanks
