Hi,

recently I've made a little change on my Adsense disposition.

My Experiments with Adsense

In a nutshell, I leaved my banner 336x280(home page) withing the content, while I've moved my banner 336x280(single pages) between the title and content.

Why?

Answer: I've made this second change because I think that is the most effective strategy. This because the majority of my site traffic come from search engines. Every day people come to my site from search engines to looking for something. So when they land on my page and see that it's not the content they were looking for, so I want that Adsense becomes an alternative where they land.

In my view, the banner 336x280 between title and contentwork better then the banner 336x280within the content.

What do you think? What are your strategy?

I am not much good at adsense placement and started a thread to ask about it as well but no one responded positively so i tried the placements myself. For me in content ads are still better then others but it depends on the niche as well.
Text ads between title and content is also good as visitors usually see the relevant titles in advertisement and you get high click rate
    Thanks

    Some additional tips from me:
    1. Try to put related picture above / next to the adsense, it increase click-through rate up to 100%. But don't forget to give a thin line between the pic and adsense, unless you'll break adsense TOS.
    2. Use blue color font for the adsense title. Some experiments say that blue title tend to be clicked more by visitors.
    3. Use same adsense color theme with your website, so it looks like part of your website.
    4. People start to read from left-to-rigth, so put your adsense within content on the left side.
    5. Always put your adsense 'above the fold'
    6. Experiment with your own positioning, track them, and improve.

    Good luck.
