Dear All, Actually I am analyzing my back links because my ranking is fluctuation contentiously. so I planned for auditing my all back links now I am looking that many back links are coming to my website which have Domain Authority less than 10 or 15 and page authority also less than 10. Should I remove those websites link by disavow tool. Please help me regards this. What is the best way to know the bad links of a website?

You cannot consider the bad links based on the domain authority and page authority. There are certain other factors as well which contributes the bad link. And ranking fluctuation happens due to come kind of updates in the algorithm also.

That is an absolutely horrible idea. DA has NOTHING to do with if a link is good or not. You need to visit every link to make that determination.

Stuff like forum links, blog comments, article directories, profile links, etc. Those are the links you want removed, irregardless of the DA.

Blog comments and forum links are mostly nofollow anyway, so there's no need to get them removed or disavowed.

I think the OP is just building junk links and google doesn't evaluate them at all, they just get ignored.

      Sorry if I'm wrong.

Google has made some comments that nofollow links can trigger penalties too. I have not tested it personally, but I don't really see any reason they would lie about that.

I have thousands of nofollow forum links & never had any problems, then again all my links are relevant to the entire site/s (not just page level).

Well, at least if you are planning to disavow "nofollow" links, it's more or less pointless.
Do nofollowed links need to be included in your disavow file? Do they affect Penguin?

John Mueller: You don't need to include any nofollow links...because essentially what happens with links that you submit as a disavow, when we recrawl them we treat them similarly to other nofollowed links. Including a nofollow link there wouldn't be necessary.

Yeah, I should not have just said forum links. There are some good forum links. The forum links that most IM'ers are getting are crap. Those are what I was talking about.

That is interesting because there was another chat this year where he said that nofollow links could trigger a penalty. He did not mention anything about the disavow tool in that video, but obviously disavow is a solution for links causing a penalty. I wish I could find it, but it will probably be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Here I am giving you one example like hxxp://seo1.net/msg12598.html this is a forum site and dofollow link. I am getting 8000 links from this particular forum. This forum does not allow me to remove those links, a message comes A Bot is attacked. So I can not remove manually those links.

Thank you so much for your good comments. I am thankful to you

Just add this domain to disavow file and you should be good to go. Other way is to check whois.com and see who is the owner of this forum. Then send him/her email that you want to get those links removed asap.

I disagree with you, if the blogs, directories, etc are low quality sites, then yes, you have a point, but if they are strong and trusted websites then getting back links from them will be positive and help in ranking.

The best way is just remove those links that don't belong to your niche, because keeping the junk won't help you in any way. Having related links whether they have less DA/PA won't negatively affect you neither you have to bother about their DA.

If the backlinks are coming from niche websites then I guess you should keep such links but make sure that the website should be spam free.
