How to get 37K links and PR5 in about 45 days

For those of you worried about getting links too fast, check out There, I Fixed It.

They registered the domain on May 15, 2009 and started posting to the blog that day. Today they're PR5, 37K+ links and have server crashing traffic levels.

Viral sites like this are a good reminder that some 'common knowledge' SEO isn't always right.

I just checked today: they have 323 pages and 59,541 Inlinks.
how do you think any blog can get those many links in a short time. also I think all the content is scraped.
do you know how the site is monetized?

This is the type of sites that can get huge amount of traffic from reddit.com and alike. The quality of the traffic is very low from monetization aspect. This is NOT the business model that you should look at if you are interested in making money online.

True, the traffic isn't keyword targeted or buying traffic. But, with the apparent traffic volume they have it could easily make $500-1000 a day even with a CTR well below 1%. You get traffic you can make money one way or the other. I agree though that it's easier for the average person to do this with a lot of buying keyword targeted niche sites than gambling on a big win with a viral site.

I basically posted it as a example of a site that uses mostly low quality scrapped content getting a lot of links quickly and doing very well. People around here go on and on about only getting a few links a day and having excruciatingly perfect original content. This site shows just the opposite.

      Just checked.

      Page 1 PR5
      Page 2 PR4 (2 day old)!

      Alexa 14k

      Backlinks 106K

Even a site showing these numbers can be very profitable.
And how much can they sell it for? 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k........???

I must admit that it can be frustrating to write or buy articles, spend a lot on design and after 3 months, get 20 visitors a day, when some one can reach these numbers in a short time.

So websites can be like cars, expensive quality is not always the best.

But keep in mind that while it's possible this site was just dumb luck, the likelihood is that it was a calculated site with reworked content (like you guys said) or pre-defined content that is set up a head of time and rolled out each day (this can be automated with Wordpress pretty easily).
Also, the site may make some good money, but a site like this can be used to push traffic upwards to your CPA sites or whatnot. Either way, I wish I had it

Don't get frustrated or become jealous of him.

The dude is probably making less than 500 dollars a day from his site. Sure it has backlinks and tons of visitors; but how many of them want a WOW guide?

Let's look at how real internet marketers can go and earn the same amount of money:

Pick a 'money' keyword that will get you 500 visitors a day if you're number 1 and than pick 5 smaller keywords that'll get you 100 visitors a day.

Spend 300-1,000 bucks on quality, original, articles.

Spend 500-1,500 bucks on building links over the course of a month or two.

This will, assuming you use the links+articles right, get you ranked #1 for the 'money' keyword and the other 5 smaller keywords. (And a ton of long tail keywords that'll bring you in nearly double the visitors the main ones will bring you; but that's another story.)

Since it has such good content and is so well optimized for the targeted visitors the site will get 2-3% of people clicking through to the product i'm pimpin' and buy it.

    1,000 visitors/2% conversions=20 sales(x)20 dollars per sale=$400 daily

(That's not including all the visits you'll get from the other long tail keywords you'll be getting traffic from.)

And the traffic will never, with a few articles added every now and again, go away.

Don't be jealous. Just do your own thing.

    Zach

P.S- When you spend 12-20 bucks per article you get such great quality articles that people will actually link to them. Getting you back links without buying them! Plus people will actually enjoy your site.

Hello Everyone; I've signed up for Angela's Backlinks. Has anyone had any real success in page ranking in using her backlinks? I've read a lot and have just completed the links for August, and have just received my backlinks for September. Please list some specifics (if you don't mind) regarding your own success. It would be a great help. Thanks.

Hello; I was also wondering if having a very popular keyword such as "Work at Home" could delay any success in getting page ranking. I know that having a small niche usually yields more traffic. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
