Hey everyone,,,

I have one client and he gives me a list of keywords around 65 keywords. All those keywords are long tail but not target the local area. What should I do to rank all these keywords and how can I manage these all keywords in meta tags?? Is there any limit to add keywords in meta keywords?? But we all know that Google is not read meta keywords tag anymore so how can I rank all these keyword in search engine?? Your help is truly needed..

Segregate the keywords in different groups and for each group create one landing page. And start the SEO for every page targeting the relevant keyword for every page.

The simple idea is select the best Keywords and use your main keywords in Meta and when you do OFF- Page work then use rest keywords to avoid over optimization.

      Hi pryidevsblog,

First of all, I'll pop all those keywords into Google Keyword Planner and find the search volume for those.

Then, orgranize the keywords into groupings. Google Keyword Planner helps you to do that automatically. The grouping that they do is not perfect, but you will get some keywords that are very similar grouped together.

Let the highest search volume keyword be your primary keyword in the group. The primary keyword should appear in your <h1> title and url of your webpage. Use the keywords in your group naturally in the article, and on the subheadings as well (if they read well). Use one of the keyword within the group in the meta description. So all in all, one set of keyword group for one webpage/article.

I'll usually discard the long tail keywords that have no search volume. But if your client wants them to be included, I'll use them on anchor texts for internal links as well as anchor text for backlinks. (That said, remember to keep your inbound anchor text distribution natural - i.e. using a combination of brand, generic, bare link and keyword-rich anchor text)

I'll leave the meta keywords blank, Google don't look at them anymore.

      Hope this helps!

      Regards,

First pick the URL's for the keywords, then segregate the keywords for targeted Url's.
Group your keywords for targeted Url's. Then start onpage optimization for each page with targeted keywords. (Suppose if you have 3 keywords targeted for single url, then need to use those 3 keywords in On Page for that single url)

Yes, there are limitations for title and description tags (title tag: <= 65 characters, Desc tag:<= 155) don't cross that limit, if you feel that your title tag and desc tag cross limits, then use one long tail keyword in ur title and second keyword in desc and use remaining keywords in website content, insuch a way you can optimize all your keywords

You don't need to create 65 pages and you can't include more than two keywords in your title of each page. The solution is to write content in better way. Group the keywords as suggested in other posts, then start writing content for page of one group. You need to ensure each query targeted in the content. My advice would be, convert each keyword in similar question format and then put answer in detail. You will start ranking immediately if your content is good and in detail. I have done this and it works very well.

He should be warned though that he's trying to over optimize his site.

I think choosing keywords are most important for ranking a site. Please use long tail pro, seo quakes for keyword research.
