So basicly I've published a niche blog/website about Sci-fi mmo games, I'm still adding new content as it's not finished yet..I'm trying to rank mainly for 2 keywords: "Online Space Games" and "Space MMO", I have created a lot of backlinks I think via twitter, facebook, youtube, google+ etc but my website still isn't showing up in google search for these keywords. I know releasing niche publicly isnt in my best interest but I just want to know if I'm doing something wrong ? I had another niche blog done in blogspot and it showed up in top 30 within 2 days of creating, but with this one just no results...Not enough backlinks ? Not enough content yet ? Have you checked your keywords competition? There can be many reasons through your website is not appearing in google search. Your keywords can have high competition so you need to do more hard work to get your website in the google first page. You also need to do link building through blog commenting, forum posting and social bookmarking.

As you know your niche is very competitive in CPA marketing, Weebly is not for showing up for those expensive keywords.

However, try pinging them if you haven’t yet done so to the site

In Web 2.0 web building, I prefer huge authority, like BlogSpot, Wordpress and of the like.

I have checked competition and searches for these keywords in google keyword planner before starting this blog, so for "online space games" there is medium competition and has 1000 searches a month while "space mmo" has low competition and 2900 searches a month. I did link building and am still on it, not little but maybe not enough. For example my twitter page, has name of my website and link in the profile plus in my tweets, then I followed lots of ppl in gaming categories, like space games etc, some followed me back, added some stuff from every person I followed to favourites, similar I have done with facebook, instagram and now working on tumblr. I just pinged the keywords with my website like danozafar said, maybe this will help, thanks

Right OK. You're a complete beginner, and that's cool. My post might seem harsh, but the quicker you learn, the better.

      a) Google keyword tool refers to paid advertising, not SEO. "Easy" means that it's easy to compete for paid advertising - NOT FOR SEO RANKINGS.
      b) Your social media links are useless because they have the "nofollow" code added to them. Google completely ignores these links, and only uses them to associate the social media profiles with your site. It will not improve your rankings.
      c) You're on Weebly, perhaps the worst platform to build a REAL site. You need to invest in your own domain (.com), buy hosting and set that hosting up as being speed optimized. There is no shortcuts in SEO.
      d) Your competitors are doing 50x what you are doing. Why would Google rank you next to them when you're doing nothing?
      e) SEO isn't about "building links from crap sites like Weebly". Pinging your website and your social media links will do nothing. Zilch. Zero. Squat. Nothing. Nada.

People on this forum will tell you anything, and the majority of it is wrong. What you need to do is stop being stingy, and pull out your wallet and start getting on the same level as your competition.

You need to buy a .com, set it up, invest hours writing DECENT, engaging posts. You need to do keyword research, learn about a SILO structure, and create relevant pages that interlink together. You need to start building authoritative links (which usually involves money one way or another). Look into a PBN (private blog network) and research what they are.

The list goes on. What you're doing now is going to get you nowhere. It's best to open your eyes to the real world of "SEO" and start doing it the right way before you waste 6-months of your life.

This is the very true reality of your situation. Please take the sometimes "harsh' sounding truth. Its ok that you have done what you have up until this point because you are new and don't know any better. But what Icematikx says is true. You need to go about this another way, not the easy "free" way but the hard working way that may include you putting some money into your mmo game site. You need to have a nice custom looking theme installed and that is not going to happen with Weebly.

I recomend installing Wordpress and using Thesis, or Genesis Framwork for a nice profesional looking website. Yes this will cost you about $100 but you will appreciate your site so much more and your visitors will too!

Regarding you link building, you cant just rely on social backlinks, although they "balance" you link building structure, they will not pass any "real" link juice. So diversify you link building with some traditional methods like articles, guest posts, bookmarks...etc.

How long has your site been up and running? It can take a couple months for your site to actually be ranked buy Google. I have had plenty of custom niche sites that had extremely good content on them with great domain names and manual backlinks with no rankings better that top 30. After doing nothing to the site for months I have seen these sites increase in rank almost as if I am doing consistent backlinking but Im not doing anything at all. You just need to build your site custom, put extremely good content, with manual backlinks and be pateint.

You need to build backlinks from sources other than social networks. Social links can be good for referral traffic but they carry little to no weight in Google. Reach out to niche bloggers, look for forums where people who congregate would be interested in your site, create shareable content.

Also, try pulling your competitors backlinks to see if there are any quick wins you can steal.

Correct. Just having one source of backlinks really won't help you much. Try to diversify your link portfolio

First you have 2 articles. Most of it is probably just copied from somewhere. The youtube video isn't yours. etc. So far you don't deserve any traffic. Toughen up. I wouldn't visit your site. Make 100 articles and come back here and complain. What you have there is 2 hrs worth of real work. If you expect to exchange 2hrs of work for more than 0 visitors a day you're in denial.

You do have to add a lot more content so that Google will actually think that your site is worth it. The search engines look for content that is updated regularly, as well as the number of articles that a site contains. Make sure your articles are original content and that they are long enough. Just keep plugging away at it, and I'm sure you'll start to see traffic over time, but it doesn't happen overnight.

First, buy new domain and start you website from scratch, make sure design looks good so new visitors will come back again. Second, right new articles and publish unique post, which are not copied from other sites. Third make relevant backlinks from different sites and don't forget to check if they have do follow links.
After all, just wait until google ranks your site on first position and remember never ever give up.!

Look, I'm not trying to be a dick - but what I'm going to nice really can't be sugar-coated.

    That's a horrible "Site."

It's just bad. It's not even a site really, it's just a couple pages with the affiliate link section taking up pretty much all of the space above the fold.Even if you had a real site, you'd get hammered by the PLA.

I mean, okay, let's move past the fact that the layout is horrible for SEO. It's weebly. That's not a site. That's barely a blog. You've got to be willing to invest in your business a little if you actually want to do well in this business. Get a real domain on at least decent hosting. It doesn't have to be wonderful hosting or a VPS, but solid hosting preferably on a server with a SSD would be great.

Lets talk about those categories on the right hand side... they all go back to the same content. What is that, 17 pages (+1 original) of duplicate content for "Dark Orbit Reloaded" alone? It's garbage. Why did you do that? And why did you think Google would like that?

Same thing on the other game, just a pile of duplicate content on various category urls. It's not even good remotely useful duplicate content like wordpress categories can be, it's just the exact same page on a bunch of urls.

And is there any content on the site that not affiliate related? It looks like you've got two primary pages (and their dozen's of garbage duplicate urls) and nothing that actually provides any degree of value.

There's no reason for Google to rank this "Site" - it sucks. It might better be used as an example of what not to do than anything else.

SO: Make a real site. Write at least 40-100 posts about finding a great "Space MMO" games and why one of these two are worth giving a shot. Talk about who should play them, how fun they are and what makes them unique. Do some more keyword research on what people are searching when looking for Space MMO games and then develop content around those queries and possible synonyms of those queries.

Ditch free hosts, duplicate content and crap layouts.

I'm sorry to be so mean about it at times in this post - but your "site thing" is horrible and someone just needs to tell you how bad it really is. Use it as motivation to do better...

    You have no content.

You do not have a real site.

You do not have high quality links.

Make a real site, start with 7-10 high quality posts that are at least 1,000 words each.

Add 1 post every 2 weeks from there on out.

Get HIGH QUALITY, NICHE RELEVANT backlinks to your site. The value of links is more important now than quantity. Do not spam your site with junk links, it will never work.

You need to be consistently building quality back links to gain rankings and keep them, as well as consistently adding fresh original high quality content.

Firstly, twitter, facebook, youtube, google+ provide nofollow backlinks and they're used mostly to draw natural traffic. You need to build links to increase your site SERPs.
Secondly blogger blogs tend to rank faster and easier since they belong to google, I think google will have some priorities for it.
Thirdly different keywords have different difficulty levels so it's hard to compare the ranking time of 2 websites with 2 different kws.

Are people still building sites like these? Hate to say it, but I gotta agree with some of the previous posts. If you aren't willing to spend the time and money creating a quality site, you better have some really powerful back linking methods.

Get yourself an actual domain. You can snag one for a buck with promo codes, just search for them. Write some quality content and build a better site.

Go and buy a proper .com domain name with your keyword and get a host also. That's the first step.
2 articles is not going to help your site in SEO. You need lots of contents targeting different keywords.
Also, are your articles SEO optimised? May sure you have the proper meta tags, keyword in title tags and Header 1 tags,, etc.
It takes time to get your site to rank. Have patience.Concentrate on building an authority site.
But if you have some money to spare, you should consider ppc as paid advertising will get you results a lot faster.

All your doing is adding social exposure. These alone won't help you get higher in the serps. You need some relevant backlinks from authority sites. Preferably with low OBL.

Hi, backlinks from social platforms are not counted. That said, they produce social signals. Are people actively sharing and discussing your content on the social networks? Social signals are one of the major ranking factors that Google use nowadays.

That said, it will not be enough without proper onpage optimization (such as proper usage of keywords on your title and content) as well as other key ranking categories such as backlinks and quality of content.

There's so many things to consider when trying to rank a site well on Google. Here's one great resource that can get you started on SEO: Learn SEO and Social Media - Moz

Yeah, I agree with the comments above that it will be more worthwhile to set up your own site. Why spend money and effort on a site that you don't own. Buy a domain and then start to build the site up. If you need help with setting up a site, you can get the step by step instructions here: Create My Own Website in 4 Simple Steps - How-To Guide

Weebly, blogspot, tumblrr etc... are used by newbies, personal bloggers etc.... when I was new enough to internet marketing, I learned many things and stuffs by creating such blogs, enhanced my technical knowledge of coding, graphics, banner, Adsense etc... but I didn't earn even $10 from such blogs....

If you are serious to internet marketing, you must have a domain name hosted on a paid hosting service..... so that you have the full control to do anything, and get benefit from other tools such as Wordpress stuffs (themes, plugins) and other CMSs etc...

For starters, it is really a good step, you already caught the earning source (CPA, Affiliate Marketing) that is targeted by experienced and smart internet marketers...

So I appreciate your work, but you need to work more by creating your own website so that you will treat your site like a business.

Think yourself, you made lots of effort to create the site, if the site is deleted by the Weebly team what will you do? You can't do anything..... thats why you need your own website...

    Hope, you understand!

    Good luck and cheers!

Thanks to everyone for sharing me your opinions and knowledge, some of you did it the harsh way but that's allright, it did strike my mind that I've been still missing a lot of points in SEO. The reason why I'm doing another free website is because my first ever blog, done in blogspot btw has earned me some income over time like $500 in 5 months, was promoting Online Profit For Dummies marketing system, however blogspot deleted by blog as they treated it as a SPAM and I don't know if i discovered that too late but I was unable to restore it even trough appeal, so that was my lesson that I should have bought domain. I was doing pretty much the same that I'm doing now to rank that blog and it sat as nr 2 on 1st page of google for my keyword so I gues I'm not completely green if I was able to manage that If I can make another website to bring me ssome free money I would invest that into creating more professional website. Btw I discountinued the one I showed you and now I'm working on ranking these:
    Space MMO - http://spacemmo.ufoludki.net/
