I have a brand new blog. Call BlogspotYard.Com
I just added my new blog to Google Webmaster Tools.

I have added both www and non-www version to webmaster tools and set the www version as preferred domain. And then I faced a problem and that is, should I sitemap for both www and non-www version? ( I already added sitemap for both version)

Please help me
#add #nonwww #sitemap #version #www

No, you need not add separate sitemaps for both versions. Infact, you should use HTAccess file to take care of such canonical URL issues.

Redirect the non www version to the www version using HTAcces.

Than put the sitemap of the www version

    That's it

You don't need to submit sitemap for both www and non-www version. If your preferred domain is www, then you can submit sitemap for only www version.
And remember that, You should redirect non-www version to www version, Otherwise it may heart your blog rank.

You only need one sitemap for the version you set as preferred

You can delete and add a new sitemap without any problems.

Lol, 2/3 of your indexed pages are buried in Supplemental SERPs, while you have an SEO category on the same site.

    Classic.

^^^ This. Look out world, another SEO pro is coming through!

Maybe he can be like the asshat I ran into yesterday with a blank theme (no content at all) on his "SEO Blog" and a 7 second load time. Better yet, our debate was over how great a host GoDaddy is....

      These people.

You only need to add it to the preferred domain.
