Of course, they are working from the top down, fortunately we did everything using enterprise grade technology from the start so bypass most of all this. In our view it's about time - too much rubbish and opinion on the internet as it is - the problem being that it will be increasingly hard to generate seo going forward as Google squeeze the questionable practices out!

One of the safest and reliable means of link building for a PBN is via social media sites, provided your content is FRESH AND UNIQUE. Also see that your sites does not link back to other low quality sites, if it seems and inevitability, you can simply nofollow those links.

I think you can switch to social bookmarking. Social network functions almost the same like blogs and it's safer. Of course there are things you can only do by blogs, but rather than your site got penalty, I think it's better to start fresh. Of course, this is just for last resort. You can start posting on social media from now so in worst case scenario you already have a reliable option to go to.

I'm not a fan of PBN's, but huh? What if I buy links from 100 different crappy PBN-s and send them to my competitor. Wouldn't that make negative SEO much easier?

There's plenty of VERY crappy PBN offers throughout WF and BHforum.

[hint] Don't believe everything you read.

SEL is currently running in propaganda mode.

Seriously, here's another thread on this. Don't buy into the hype...Google loves creating fear in SEOs.

Thanks for ur input. I'm considering social, maybe some web2.0, commenting with sites in my niche and trying an experimenting with some sites that offer sponsors ships.

Any thoughts on these strategies??? Should I do them or stay away from sites offering sponsorships???

    Thanks
