      OP is talking about backlinks, you've never had a single Adwords link rank a page.

    Forum and blog posting is not the best route to go if your actually wanting serious results. Having some signature links scattered among your high quality backlinks is fine, but forum and blog posts don't usually carry as much weight as they used to (and doing too many will actually lower the overall quality of your link profile).

    With recent algo changes, the biggest SEO trap people are still falling into is over optimisation of pages and not varying their anchor text by enough (so that it looks natural).

    @dreamtoreality - couldn't agree more on reverse engineering. This will always be the way to do proper analysis, provided the black hat techniques that still work are not followed. If the search engines don't know about it now, they will at some point and you take a hit. Doing the things you know will always work, is always going to be the long term winner.

    First off, Adwords has no bearing on your organic rankings.

    Secondly, on-site optimisation and on-page SEO (1st and 4th items in your list) are both the same thing.

    2 PBNs = 2 Private Blog Networks?

    Apart from PBNs, you can build tiered links. Tiered links are second best to PBNs. You can also do link outreach and gain natural links from other relevant sites.
