Fireworks. It's much easier to use than Photoshop. You can get a 30 day fully working trial from adobe. :)

If you're skint (i.e. broke), get GIMP. It's completely free and has lots of features.

I think they're meant for different things. Camtasia is for screen capturing, (making demos etc), while Sony Vegas is used for editing videos in a broader sense. I mean the ones from your dvd camera...
