Re: What's a good product to sell door to door?

Re: What's a good product to sell door to door?

A great pitch I remember, when I had an office full of salespeople....

A guy came in with a large dictionary, a set of VHS Sports Bloopers, and a few other items. He said he was a publisher's rep...

Re: What's a good product to sell door to door?

Saying I wasn't a sales person took me a short time to figure out, but it was really key to my pitch. I think our experiences show that not coming across as a sales person is a fairly potent sales...

Re: What's a good product to sell door to door?

The encyclopedia pitch I learned was;

We aren't salespeople, we are in the area ahead of the sales force to give away 100 sets of the encyclopedias...for a written testimonial. All they had to pay...

Re: What's a good product to sell door to door?

It's what killed most bookstores and killed the encyclopedia sales industry.

So it's important to sell something that can't be shopped online. Or sell such a low ticket item that it isn't worth...

Re: What's a good product to sell door to door?

It's not harder to sell door to door, but it's far less common than it was a couple decades ago. The reason is that people can shop online ...from their smart phone..and buy most anything you have to...

Are ALL binary options a scam?

Last year I invested in binary options. Since then, I have learned that I am one of many people from all over the world who has been scammed by this daylight-robbery industry. After losing over $...

Re: "It Takes Five Closing Attempts Before You Get A Sale". Where It Came From, Myth Or Reality?

In my case, the heaters were mostly sold to new customers. But I am an established retail store, and that helped.

I've heard it both ways...5 touches or 7. (Never 6!) But "touches" is a slightly...

Re: "It Takes Five Closing Attempts Before You Get A Sale". Where It Came From, Myth Or Reality?

Thanks for asking. There is absolutely a use for branding, even ads that are just promoting a brand. National branding ads create familiarity and acceptance in the mind of the consumer. In some sales...

the bottom line to sales success

Think about the last really expensive thing that you bought...that you really wanted. Got it? How many closes did it take before you said "Yes"? I ask that in seminars, in talks to large groups of...

"It Takes Five Closing Attempts Before You Get A Sale". Where It Came From, Myth Or Reality?

If you've been in sales more than a week...or in advertising...or advertising sales..you've heard it..or a variation of it....

"It takes five closing attempts before they buy"

"You need to run...

Re: Feedback on my script for cold calling

Did I see websites being sold at $500?

The economics will be very hard to work in your favor when hiring salespeople
at that price-point.

RE: Sales Lesson from my Mom - There's Two Types of Salespeople

It's a battle between doing what can earn you an income and pursuing something that you're passionate about and selling it as a product.

Re: Sales Lesson from my Mom - There's Two Types of Salespeople

So the question is did the vacuum salesman tell other people he bought his own product or did people know this from seeing the vacuum cleaners in his house?

My point is, this is a sales pitch,...

RE: Sales Lesson from my Mom - There's Two Types of Salespeople

Yeah Kurt, this is pretty much it.

Follow your fun. Or, sell your fun. Or, sell something you feel passionate about. Then you are not selling. You are sharing. People get onboard - quickly if they...

Re: Sales Lesson from my Mom - There's Two Types of Salespeople

Thank you.

By the way, I once bought (I think) hundreds of "No Soliciting" signs from K-Mart as a liquidation for a buck each, I think. When I sold vacuum cleaners, if they didn't buy...I offered...

Re: Sales Lesson from my Mom - There's Two Types of Salespeople
