Problem with WP Theme and IE

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to install a particular WP theme which is giving me problems in IE. The theme documents say it is compatible, but it does not display properly.

It's actually for my dad's site, and 80% of his traffic comes from IE (and he particularly likes this one theme).

So I'm wondering if someone might know what to do??

I can give you any information you need, just let me know.

The theme is below...

The 3 columns do not display as they should.

After the header and category listings, you see the far left column. This is fine. However, the other 2 columns (including all the posts) display underneath the first.

      Does that make any sense?

It could be because of content issues.

Sometimes these themes are designed around the images and content that is in the site.

Did you try to fill the site up with test content to make sure the layout is correct.

If not, try to put images where they are suppose to be first. If the problem still continues it is a css issue.

You know, I actually imported all of his posts from his old Blogger blog before testing the layout of the site.

I started fresh and now it does display properly.

So obviously is was something in one of those posts that threw everything off...

Thanks so much for your help!

This is frustrating though because it all seemed to easy...especially considering that everything looked PERFECT in FF.

      Thanks again,

Sometimes if a post has an image or a video that is wider than the size of the column, you will get the issues that you mentioned. That is the most common cause .

You can go into the posts and change the size of the videos/images and it should help the situation (if it happens again).

Turns out it wasn't anything to do with the posts themselves...

It was a simple link in the sidebar....not even a banner add, just a simple link.

Even still, everything looked fine in FF. One more reason I dislike IE but love the WF!

I'll be sure and keep in this mind. Thanks for your advice
