  What I've been telling my SEO/Development clients is this: Twitter may not bring you money directly, but it's essential to your plan. Without a Twitter page, it looks like your business is "behind the times".
  
  I think it's very difficult to sell things directly on Twitter. However, using Twitter as a branding tool is very effective for almost any kind of business.

I would have to disagree #leooman... twitter is another internet marketing tool that is given to us by the internet gods. It's what we do with this tool is important.. if we come of as a spammer or a legitimate person who is trying to provide solutions for people who are browsing for something on the net. I do agree that their is a lot of twitter spammers out there but i'm sure if you can control your followers and tweet appropriately then you would be using twitter tool for goodness

youre absolutely right madmmd there are tools that do this on autopilot, this report serves merely as an introduction to marketing with Twitter, but certainly once someone gets the hang of it automation is possible with various tools

  It's my understanding you do not need lots of followers to market successfully on twitter. You just need to find those that are in need of something and offer them a solution in a not so 'selling' way but in a helpful way.
