Is There Any Source for Expert Authors or Specialist in their Fields/Niche?

Hello Warriors:

Do you know how to find expert authors, etc. for radio, etc without having to pay for their appearance?

This is an example: I went looking to find 10 people to interview in the wedding consultant field. I was frustrated because I had to wade through the thousands of mega sites with consultant listings.

So I am wondering if there is a source or a place to find those kinds of folks who would want to be interviewed.

EzineArticles.com is a great source of experts.

Normally those who have written good articles are eager to be interviewed. They value the publicity.

Of course, you'll want to weed out all the people who are obviously using ghost writers who can't speak English, who offer same-old, same-old boring information and those who are trying to use articles to sell in an overly aggressive way.

    Good luck,

Probably easier than doing a google search, Marcia, you are right.

I've done a HARO request, and the responses can be overwhelming. In addition, respondents are not always polite if you get back to them and ask for more information or thank them and tell them they're not relevant to your needs.

EZA puts you more in control. HARO would be a great secondary way to search if EZA did not turn up much.

HARO also. That is another great idea. I will use that one too.

I agree about Ezine, but wading through the affiliation marketers and ghostwriters can be a bit challenging.

But still, I have some very good sources now....

Search for books in the niche on Amazon. Many, if not most of the authors, will have a website and you'll be able to find contact information. I think you'll find a high percentage of authors will grant you an interview (at no charge) if you give them a chance to plug their book. I know I've never turned anyone down, even high school kids just because I love that they have the courage to ask.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

A service similar to Haro, but much smaller list is Reporter Connection

with these services, I recommend using throw away email address...not everyone is expert in the rules of email etiquette and you won't want your main email filling up with junk.......just saying...
