Google Searches - Using quotation marks

Hi guys!

I was just wondering something and hoped you had some thoughts to add...

I am doing some article marketing for my website. I have submitted 5 articles to ezines...2 are pending, but 3 have been approved! (Yeah!!)

So I was partricular about my keywords, and in fact, 2 of the 3 articles I wrote are showing up on the first page of google....one of them in the #1 spot! I was shocked and elated obviously!

But, they are showing up on the first page only if someone searches my "keyword phrase" in quotation marks.

How often do people really search using quotation marks?

It seems like this is something I should see as an accomplishment, but is it really useful?

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Jennifer

My guess is that the vast majority of the general public has no idea about searching with quotes.

They just enter what they're looking for.

I don't know what the actual numbers are, but I'd be willing to bet that 90% or more never use quotes to do a search.

    All the best,
    Michael
