I definitely agree with kumarkunal.. I don't believe in "fast cash". On the other hand, working hard in developing your skills and making a name for yourself, I'm sold on.

Making money online is hardest job. A person working 9to5 might get a fixed salary, but a person willing to earn online has to develop skills to sell product online.Which means he has to influence people online which is a lot difficult.
Freelancing is also very difficult to do indeed.

  Yes, freelancing today not only involves offering programming services. You can offer a lot of other things like writing, translation, transcription, proofreading, editing, data entry, however, there's so much competition from other freelancers when it comes to these skills.

I'm sure you guys have heard of oDesk also, I've used it and find it very effective especially you can monitor the person's work through the automated screencap they do. Anyone tried both? What's your experience?

Freelancing is good in the beginning to get some fast cash. Eventually you can look into building your business marketing to offline business owners that can cut you checks of $1,000-$5,000!
